Hi
Thanks for the advise, but it had no effect.
I have borrowed a D-Link DUB-H7 USB 2.0 USB hub and I have attached it to Bubba and the ICY box.
So I'm still thinking that is driver issue.

I have tested it little bit more. It works fine on both my windows laptop and stationary Ubuntu 8.10, so it is only Bubba that it does not work on :( (for some reason it is only the NTFS disk that gets auto Mounted by Ubuntu, and with my newly founded Linux skills I could find the other one: ) I hav...

Hi The disk are SATA so there is no Master/Slave :( The most likely answer to the problem (what I think) is that it is related to the power consumption. But I do not know how to test that I do not have any measurement equipment :( Above matrix prove that the disk works and the the 2 different slots ...

What I find rather surprising is that according to specs the icy box is delivered with a 2A power supply, which is not enough to power two hard disks. Thats why I think it pulls extra voltage from the desktop. I agree, it is wird. I do not have other SATA disk to try with :( and it should be a budg...

Have you tried udevmonitor (you need to be root to run it). Once started, connect the device and examine the output. /Johan I will...
