Re: BubbaServer (b1) lenny image

I noticed that after you updated this forum, the characters in my previous post got messed up!

The directory is called "Håkan Hellström" and I get the following error:

/home/storage/music/Håkan Hellström
Invalid path or access denied for user 'macke'

Is this a bug or a limitation: When I use the filemanager in web-gui and browse to a directory named with local characters I get errors; I have a directory called "Håkan Hellström" and when I click on that directorty/link I get the following: /home/storage/music/HÃ¥kan Hellström Invalid path ...

I also have to use promisc mode, allmulti will not work!

I tried firefly without the edited config-file and now it works! So like mabl I do not need to edit the hostname setting!

I have also tried the new Lenny image: I didn't have a DHCP-server on my network and that made my Bubba unreachable. It didn't get a static IP of 192.168.0.242 so I tried different IP:s but I couldn't find the right one. So i activated my DHCP-server in my router and there it was... my Bubba! I can ...

Architecture ARM vs ARMEL

Hi! I have upgraded my "etchoverlay"-dist to Lenny. I was looking ahead of Lenny because I needed a package from Squeeze and saw no packages for the ARM architecture. ARM was replaced with ARMEL. This means that the current Bubba Server won't install any newer packages than Lenny, because it only fi...

I don't know exact how to do this but try this:

#cd /dev
#MAKEDEV sd

I had a problem with not having /dev/ttyUSB0 but when i did MAKEDEV usb (as root in the /dev directory) it created the right "files" in /dev directory!

Just a question.... There was a package called linux-modules that I used with sarge to get my usb-to-serial-cable working. Can I use the same package as you released for sarge or is it included in the etch release?

Hello again and thanks for all ideas! The bad thing with iMac's is that you cant exchange the network card... But I have tested Wireshark again with my iMac and my Windows laptop, but this time I am using wireless network cards (that's the only way for me to test another network card with my iMac). ...

OK! First off I tested to ping the Bubba from my Windows PC and then from my Mac... same good results. Then I downloaded a software called "Wireshark" for both PCs (OS X and Windows). I started to log the network traffic when uploading files with the Web-filemanager first from OS X and then from Win...

- scp command (SSH), whith domain name and IP
- mounted the samba share (smb://.....)

All above behave lika I described earlier!

Very slow filetransfers from Mac to Bubba

Hello! I am starting a new topic because this has nothing to do with wireless LAN (as my earlier topic was about). My LAN-setup is as follows: D-Link DIR-100 Router with 3 connected PCs. PC 1 = Fujitsu-Siemens Laptop P4 with Windows XP PC 2 = iMac G5 iSight with OS X 10.4.11 PC 3 = Bubba Server with...
