Bubba and a timeserver

I noticed the time on my bubba is very much out of sync.
It would be nice if someone can tell me how to set it right.
It would be even nicer is I could hook up bubba with a timeserver...

Mine is up for 246 days now. It would have been a lot longer if I would not have pulled the plug by accident 246 days ago....
It is on a UPS, but that doesn´t help if its owner pulles the plug...

You 'sound' a bit irritated? I have read your earlier reply, but because it was quite a while ago, I decided to put up this question. I just want to know if anybody has implemented something like this. On the page you mentioned it's not clear if UBH uses nzb files. By the way: in my opinion Usenet i...

I use a simple UPS, that's just for brown-outs and black-outs that don't last too long. But with the power consumption of Bubba a UPS can last very long... If it last too long, it is simple to shutdown the Bubba by hand before the UPS goes down.

Mine reached 59C during a warm day..... Just below the max. temperature of the HD.
I have a 750Gb, so that might get hotter than - say - a 320Gb.
I solved it with a simple ventilator, which is aimed at the Bubba on hot days. Drops the temperature by 7 degrees.

I have found the problem!! Bubba got a new ip-address recently. It used to be 192.168.1.50, but now it is 192.168.1.52. When studying the output of Cidero, I suddenly noticed it was trying to connect to 192.168.1.50. But why? From Bubba's admin I switched off Mediatomb, waited a minute or so and swi...

Thanks for the suggestion, Eek.
I use the FireFly client for FireFly instead of iTunes (I don't like Itunes). Maybe that will work as well using the rendezvouz proxy...

Mediatomb does not appear...

I'm still trying to get MediaTomb working from Windows. I can reach the interface nicely on //bubba:49152/ but no program seems to be able to find it. Until now I have found two programs that should be able to use uPNP from windows: 1. XBMC 2. Cidero Both do not connect to MediaTomb, but at least Ci...

It's working great over here!
My Linux knowledge is growing and thanks to Midnight Commander and Putty I can find my way in the Bubba now.
I followed your instructions and guess what? Piece of Cake!
Thanks for the effort1

I just found XBMC. A program that started as a solution for the XBox, but it has been migrated to other platforms as well.
I can't get it to see MediaTomb though.... VERY frustrating :x

I bought Bubba for three main reasons: 1. Low on powerconsumption 2. Mailserver out of the box 3. Streaming music It does all of this very well. After a long search I have found a lightweight DAAP player for Windows, so I don't have to use the dreadful iTunes. Backups are performed during the night....
