Re: Release notes for Excito Bubba 2&3 software version 2.6
I have a B2 that was hacked. I read the threads on the issue and applied the shell-deny, the crontab-cleaning and the chmod to the hacked executable. Now I would like to upgrade and I understand that I can expect ver 2.5.x, but the software update page just states that "No upgrades available&qu...

Re: B2 failure
Thanks again.
The harddrive had lots of problems, but fixing them did not make it boot normally. I guess that a reinstall is my next move, but I would like to know what the rapid blinking might mean.

Re: B2 failure
Thanks ryz, I had the network connected to the LAN port. The blink pattern is the same though for the WAN with DHCP. Rapid blinks for about a second before settling on 1 Hz. I now have an ssh connection. Shouldn't the harddrive be mounted? # df Filesystem Size Used Available Use% Mounted on rootfs 6...

B2 failure
Hi, At some time this afternoon my B2 became unavailable and started blinking at 1 Hz. I have made no changes to it lately and was not using it in any way at the time. There were no power outs and my UPS seems to be working. I downloaded an install image to a USB flash drive and set the install para...

The Java Mini Web Server from jibble is fun but not compliant with any J2EE specs and apache completely covers what it does. If you want to write Servlets you might try Jetty which is a fairly lightweght Servlet Container that is widely used as an embedded server. That is to say that you can easily ...

Configuring ftd
Hi, My google powers are failing me  Serching for ftd alone gets to many hits, all of them seemingly irrelevant. Different combinations of ftdconfig.ini, debian, unix, file transfer daemon etc. leads to something called grid and alice, that are not really helpful. man ftd and man ftd.bin give n...

Harddisk allways running
It seems that my Bubbas haddisk is allways running. Even if it has plenty of memory with no swap at all. Is this normal? Can it be changed?

A little tip: if you want your certificate to be valid longer than 30 days use the -days <number of days> option.
For eksample:
For eksample:

What protocol is that? I am working on a 31Gb bittorrent ATM. 68% so far with no problems.
