B3 vs qnap TS-119P II
My B2 is about 4 yrs old. Combine a little bit of feeling that the product has paid for itself, frustration at the slow speed of the B2, the feeling that the B2 has been forgotten for the new B3 (no updates) and a lot of boredom at work – i have started looking for a replacement. In the past I have ...

Re: OpenVPN / PPTP
Rjakobsson,
I was trying to achieve this with anonine.se but eventually gave up. If you do figure out how to tunnel torrents only would appreciate knowing what it was you do/did.
Many thanks

Re: Use OpenVPN to connect to ivacy.com - troubles
Hi ejvn. I have been trying a similar scenario - through anonine.se. I can connect to the vpn service and return the assigned ip address etc. The only thing is that when I try to connect to the bubba interface (webserver) whilst connected to the vpn, or ssh through the assigned ip to bubba it does n...

VPN-DDCLIENT-APACHE?-Non Connection
I am trying to run Bubba2 through a subscription VPN client service (anonine.se) by utilising OpenVPN. The Bubba is set-up in “server only” mode. I have installed OpenVPN, forwarded the required VPN ports to my router and configured iptables to allow connection to the VPN. I can successfully connect...

Re: FTP has stopped working outside LAN [SOLVED]
OK. I have done a bit more searching and have come to recognise that I dont need/use IPv6. I have therefore disabled it in the proftpd.conf file and now I can restart without any errors. As long as I deselect IPv6 option in my FTP client it all connects now. I never enabled IPv6 in proftpd but disab...

FTP has stopped working outside LAN
Hello, I am having a similar problem to this; http://forum.excito.net/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=2701&hilit=ftp My FTP was working (accessed via filezilla or FireFTP) but has just stopped working. I note that I can still FTP from within my network (LAN) and therefore assumed it was to do with the r...

Re: Apache - It Works! [SOLVED]
Well, I have done a bit of tinkering with success. I found that I had duplicate files in my /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/ folder. I had a file called “default”, which I removed. Now I only have the file named “bubba.” I also had a folder called /etc/apache/ which contained index.html etc. I renamed th...

Apache - It Works! [SOLVED]
OK, I have nuked my server – trying to install a start-up script for rtorrent from here; http://forums.rutorrent.org/index.php?topic=256.0 This has obviously interfered with the apache/apache2 set-up – not my strongest area. If I go to http://www.mydomain.com , all i get is a white page saying “It W...

Re: ftp client with web interface
Thanks for the comments; I tried specifying the username and password as per cheeseboys link, the transfer was added to the bubba download manager but would not download - i.e. stayed at zero. my example was ftp://user:password@www.mydomain.com/directory/subdirectory/file.extension This would have b...

Re: ftp client with web interface
Thanks for the advice. We are talking 3 x bubba, at different locations. I hear your comments on the command shell! I do not mind the command shell myself . . . . . it just would not constitute a solution to the other users. If I understand you correctly what I am therefore after is an ftp client th...

ftp client with web interface
Hello, If I understand correctly my B2 has, by default, proftpd installed as the ftp server – which is fine / good. I want to be able to copy between multiple bubba’s using an ftp client installed on the bubba. Due to limited linux knowledge (by some of the bubba users/owners) I wish to do this via ...

ntop wiki - additional
Thank-you for the ntop wiki, most useful. http://wiki.excito.org/wiki/index.php/Install_ntop,_a_network_traffic_probe To get this to work on my bubba, which has a seperate router and firewall, I needed to change the default from eth0 to eth1. I did this by following this; https://www.alienvault.com/...

Re: Album Database Error
now at least we get some clues! Stopped and restarted and got the following on restart. Starting MySQL database server: mysqld .. Checking for corrupt, not cleanly closed and upgrade needing tables.. I have previously rebooted bubba to attempt to fix this. Am at work at the moment so may try a full ...

Re: Album Database Error
Thanks for the reply,
This returns,
Starting MySQL database server: mysqld already running.
with no other error message.
Seems to be a bit of an odd one?
