Re: File Transfer Daemon - Copy file after download?
Never mind, I figure it out. You can configure the filetransferdaemon to write files to another directory. So I made a symbolic link in my user folder to a directory that is mounted with a samba network accessable drive. Now ftd writes directly to my DNLA compliant NAS that actually supports all of ...

File Transfer Daemon - Copy file after download?
Hello members + excito,
Was wondering if the file transfer daemon (B2) supports copying files to another location after downloading is complete, or if I could automate this process somehow.
Even simply changing the default download directory would be ok too.
Thanks!

Re: Announcing B3
Two questions:
- Does it run java?
- Can we now update third party the software on it ourselves without having to wait for updates from excito? For example MediaTomb, SqueezeServer etc?
Thanks!

Re: Announcing B3
Um unfortunately, the B2 is not an Intel processor... but sometimes I wish it was. At least then it would not be so difficult to upgrade to a version of Linux where you can install your own software. I'm a little bummed that there will likely now be even less time devoted to the B1 and B2 to get a n...

Re: Plug in esata drive
No, you should see it immediately after connecting the drive. Make sure you cut enough of the connector off so that it is not butting up against the Bubba's case. I had to make adjustments because it didn't work the first couple of times.

Got an easy work around from PA on this if anyone else is experiencing this problem.

Re: Bubba Two Lenny
Any word on Lenny? Cannot install a lot of new packages because the etch distributions don't have the necessary packages. Namely Mediatomb 0.12 with thumbnailing support.

Same problem here. Using a static IP address, samba doesn't start on boot.

Re: Release notes for BUBBA|2 version 2.0
Also I'd like to revise my comment on the switching to administration mode:
If a user is not an admin, prompt the user if they'd like to login as admin. If yes, then open a new tab to login as an admin user. Otherwise, if you are logged in as an admin user it works great as is.

Re: Release notes for BUBBA|2 version 2.0
More UI comments: Start up the bubba admin console, click photo album or webmail. You'll download a "download(12)" file containing a PHP error. This is because I don't have these services active. Now I probably don't have to tell you this but, PHP errors don't look very nice. A "Servi...

Also, don't deselect when clicking the same item except if ctrl is pressed. This will keep the selection from flashing on and off as you are double clicking through the folder structure. Make the UI look a little cleaner.

Re: Release notes for BUBBA|2 version 2.0
PA Okay that's great actually. I figured what annoys me about file manager. It was not the double-click specifically, but the delay until an action occurs. It makes the UI feel slow and klunky. If you could animate first (or while) then load the files and folders into the list that will make the res...

Re: Release notes for BUBBA|2 version 2.0
Yeah, the login mechanism for FirePlay is a bit flakey: - Load the bubba admin console, click music. - A new tab is opened where you have to click on music again to get the login prompt. - Enter username and password, click login, and FirePlay is displayed. - Switch to first tab, click downloads and...

Some comments on this update in response to tors post: Apart from that we really would like feedback on what works and what don't in the new UI. Any rough edges? Anything annoying on navigation or operation? Something that you think works well? Please let us know. - FirePlay seem to be affected by t...
