Hi, Thanks for everyone's posts on this. I now have the package installed, although I think apt-get is not entirely happy. I did the following: -Uncomment the following in /etc/apt/sources.list deb http://update.excito.org/ claire main - Added the following in /etc/apt/sources.list deb http://www.de...

Hi, I haven't sussed out how to do this yet, but for now I'm browsing my video collection via PC Directory -> home -> storage -> video on the PS3 which allows me to browse according to my directory structure. There's probably a way of configuring the Video database to one's choosing, but I haven't i...

Hi, Thanks for replying. I'll have a go at doing it that way. The process I followed was something like the following (this is from memory so may not be perfect): - Edit /etc/apt/sources.list (as root) and added the following at the end: deb http://www.debian-multimedia.org etch main - Tried 'apt-ge...

Hi, Thanks for the replies. I updated my system the other day using (as root): apt-get update apt-get dist-upgrade Everything still seems to be working. Presumably this is the command-line way of keeping your Bubba system up-to-date? I'm assuming that this is the route for people who wish to modify ...

apt-get upgrade
Hi,
Should I be able to use:
I tried it the other day and it seemed to mess my system up; I had to re-install the system from a USB stick.
Am I not meant to run 'apt-get upgrade' on Bubba?
Thanks
Should I be able to use:
Code: Select all
apt-get upgrade
Am I not meant to run 'apt-get upgrade' on Bubba?

Trying to install gpac, but dependancies conflict
Hi, I've been trying to install the package 'gpac'. Gpac depends on packages libavcodeccvs51 and libavutilcvs49, however it looks like these conflict with the already installed libavcodec51 and libavutil49 packages. It looks like these packages are required for MediaTomb and Firefly. If I try to ins...

iTunes Album Artwork via MediaTomb to PS3
Hi, I am trying to set up a scenario where I have my iTunes music library on my Bubba which I can access via MediaTomb on my PS3. This seems to work fine in that I can see and play the music files over the media server, but I don't see any of the album artwork. I understand that iTunes may not be st...
