Enable the CUPS printing service on Bubba to act as a PDF printing facility.
(This could be done via a backend such as CUPS-PDF in Debian)
User prints from Computer to Bubba; resulting document is deposited in their home directory.

Re: Photo Album - PNG Support?
Ah, that's too bad.. for me it is the exact opposite - I do not use JPEG.
I will have to find something else to use then. Thanks for replying

Photo Album - PNG Support?
Sorry to dig up an old bone, but.. I'd like to use PNG images in the album on Bubba|2. I searched, and found the thread I linked below (dates back to Jul.10 2009): http://forum.excito.net/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1845&p=8601&hilit=PNG+Support#p8601 As it has been quite some time, and with Bub...

Bubba|2, new web interface, and static networking Gateway
Hi. Due to persistent issues with updating my Bubba|2 I decided to reinstall from scratch with the latest image over the weekend. The reinstall went well, updating was seemingly flawless, reconfiguring however was not directly obvious. In my network, Bubba|2's WAN is connected directly to the modem,...

Okay, let's try and get a few things straightened out.. Your router: 1. What type, USB or Ethernet? 2. Does it have more than 1 ethernet LAN port? (4 for example?) 3. Failing 2, do you have a switch available to expand the number of LAN ports 4. Are you required to use dialer software on your deskto...

Can you draw up your network in a diagram so we can have a visual of your description of your network? I personally own an ADSL line and Bubba is working fine with this setup: Phone Line --> (WAN ADSL Line In Port) ADSL Modem/Router (4 port ethernet LAN) --> 1.Bubba, 2.WAP1, 3.WAP2, etc. 1. Bubba|TW...

Hello Tor, Sorry for the late reply myself, I have been working and unable to reply till now :) I was unable to find any setting related specifically to FTP in the router that was provided to me by my internet provider, even after updating it to the latest firmware available. I do see QoS (Quality o...

Okay, the download just finished. The file this time can be found in File Manager! this is good. Questions that remain are why there is a problem getting this file over FTP, and why this time the Download Manager froze entirely (without FTD dying in the background). I will do another test for pure F...

Nope, it's still stuck at 54%, only now the speed has dropped further to 19KByte/s. I'm going to go ahead and cancel it, then put it back into the list on Bubba. Edit: Umm, never mind that. It seems the download manager itself froze up, none of the cancel buttons work and I can't add anything to the...

Quick and easy way: CloneZilla Live Take the disk out of Bubba and mount it in a desktop machine with at least 1GB RAM (More RAM helps speed up copying, good disk controller helps too) and off you go. If you don't have a machine handy to do the above.. you could try using DD from inside Bubba to ano...

Small update: The download is still running very slowly, which is unusual. It has reached 54%, and is currently running at 57.9Kbyte/s. Remarkable is that the torrents have slowed down to a complete halt. When I touch the link you provided from the computer I write this on, the speed at which it run...

Hi Tor, I'm not sure where to place the router flaw; when I download directly to any computer off ftp.nluug.nl the transfer of one or many files run and complete without being aborted. Only Bubba seems to exhibit this behaviour at the moment. As a side note I do not use any kind of download manager ...

Hello Tor, Thank you for replying; Glad it can at least be confirmed! :) Is there any other data you may need? Pity that it is so specific.. that particular FTP mirror is one local to my country and is much faster for me than torrenting (when invented BitTorrent was supposed to be faster, go figure ...

Seems this is a more serious issue than I first imagined, see screenshot: http://i43.tinypic.com/dlp9ud.png Apparently the download manager can't handle large (over 1GB) files?. I hope it has not corrupted the downloads that were running, that would be a real pain as the ones still running were HTTP...
