dual band wireless operation

Hail, I can see the possible need to use the 2.4 GHz band as the WAN connection and using the 5 GHz band for a wireless access point. Does someone on this list know if both radios can be used simultaneously? If not, I will require a wireless access box to be connected to the B3 LAN port in addition ...

Re: Release notes for Excito Bubba 2 software version 2.4.1

Ingo,
Thanks a lot. I may have to wait until I get back after Easter but I will indeed look into this. I suppose this thread should be carried over to B2 and B3 support.

Re: Release notes for Excito Bubba 2 software version 2.4.1

Ingo, HIDDEV is set now, which means that it can handle APC UPS'. Have you been successful in getting this up and running on 2.4.1? My installation does not create the udev rule required to provide hiddev. I'm not sure that I have much time to address tis at present but would like to get apcupsd wor...

Re: Release notes for Excito Bubba 2 software version 2.4-RC

Hail, I installed RC1 on two B2's following the steps outlined on the wiki and the procedure worked as advertised, however, upon applying the same procedure to RC3, one B2 came up (it works quite well now) but the other (the older one) will not pass the 2 Hz blinking light stage. I tried about 1 doz...

Re: Release notes for Excito B3 software version 2.4

This will only happen when you try to set up a password with a wrong syntax (e.g. starting with a '#'). @Johannes: please comment if neccessary. Thanks Oliver I thought there were other restrictions. Anyway, the password I tried to set was 16 characters, 11-lower case, 1-upper case, 1-numeric and a...

Re: Release notes for Excito B3 software version 2.4

I was able to change the admin password during upgrade but now cannot change it again as admin within the web interface; I'm stuck with the first password I set. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, is there another way to change the web admin password? What do you mean exactly? Is the optio...

Re: HID device that used to work on bubba2 fails on b3

Hail, My last show stopper was due to a typo in ups.conf. Now the driver won't load and I receive the following message: Network UPS Tools - Generic HID driver 0.34 (2.4.3) USB communication driver 0.31 Can't claim USB device [051d:0002]: could not detach kernel driver from interface 0: Operation no...

Re: HID device that used to work on bubba2 fails on b3

Hail, I am not sure whether I should be adding to this thread or starting a new one. I installed NUT on bubba3 (obtained from the bubba3 repositories) and upon running upsdrvctl : /etc/nut# upsdrvctl start Network UPS Tools - UPS driver controller 2.4.3 Can't start /lib/nut/usb-hid-ups: No such file...

setting hardware clock

Hail, How do I set the hardware clock (preferably from the command line) of Bubba2? The hwclock command results in: ---------------- >:~$ sudo hwclock -r Password: Cannot access the Hardware Clock via any known method. Use the --debug option to see the details of our search for an access method. ---...

Re: Software update fails

Hail, Has your issue been resolved? I experienced the same problem although enough of the installation proceeded that I was able to use specific features I require. I would like to clean things up eventually. I do not use Horde and I disabled mysql after upgrade as I do not require it. I prefer that...

disable mysql

Hail,
What is the cleanest way of disabling mysql in Bubba|two?
It uses a lot of memory and I am currently not using it.
