In my case the workgroup was the same after the update as it was before.
When it comes to what version of the firmware I had before the upgrade I'm not really sure. Either 1.2.3 or 1.2.4

Thanks for the answer The reason for me to want to write to home is that Clonezilla wants to create a working folder in the home directory and as far as I know I cant change this in Clonezilla.
