B2 2.4-RC1 running slower and slower and ....
Has been running fine for 3-4 days, but was getting more and more sluggish. This is new behaviour I haven't seen before, so took me a while to nail it down. Anyways, my media player and OSX mac started running very slowly when accessing files (on the bubba), and also SSH+bash (on bubba) became slow ...

WD caviar 1TB MTBF, any clues?
What kind of MTBF figures can I expect on my HDD in my B2? (It's a 1TB WD Caviar one)? My b2 has been running for few years now, and smartmontools tells me then "Power_On_Hours" is 15170 (2 years), Power_Cycle_Count 51 everything else under 50. Given how vital my bubba is to my life (yeah,...

Re: Release notes for Excito Bubba 2 software version 2.4-RC
Just updated my B2, working great. Seems a bit snappier at the command line as swell (screen forks much quicker for instance). * You will still need to compile most recent netatalk if you want Time Machine backups to work in OSX Lion (or just move to the unstable packages). Other than that, everythi...

Re: Release notes for Excito Bubba 2 software version 2.4-RC
Good work dudes...
One quick question, when the full release comes around, the upgrade from this RC will be a simple "apt-get upgrade" correct? No need to a full install again?

Re: B2 Software update - Excito's plans
Johannes, what's the latest news of the RC and this release?
Is there a wiki page / etc where one can follow the work?
I am really keen to upgrade apache2 and openssh which is about 6 years old in etch!

Re: Swapper : page allocation failure
4096 wasn't enough for me, still got page allocation failure etc (dropped USB devices, smb crashes when streaming big files, compiler crashes etc).
Bumping it to 8192 made it better.
