B3 not getting IP through DHCP

Tried both 'dhclient eth0' and to take the interface up and down(ifconfig eth0 down) and neither helped.

But as you said it sounds like a timeout issue, where though is unknown:)

B3 not getting IP through DHCP

Sorry. I was tired and frustrated uesterday evening had completely forgot about that post! Thx for reminding me.

It seems to be some kind of cache issue because if I let the B3 and Dovado be disconnected from each other for a long time(+12h) it works when I connect them again.

B3 not getting IP through DHCP

Hi, I have my B3's WAN port connected to a Dovado Tiny router in bridge mode with a 4G USB modem connected to the Tiny. If I connect my laptop with an ethernet cable to the Tiny my laptop gets an IP but not B3 when I connect it to the Tiny. I have configured the B3 WAN to obtain IP automatically(DHC...

Re: DHCP client not working?

Just got a reply on the Dovado forum and there might be an issue with the Tiny in Bridge Mode that DHCP traffic does not get through for certain kinds of routers. So it seems most likely it is a problem with the Tiny.

DHCP client not working?

Hi, for my internet connection I use a Dovado Tiny with a ZTE mf820d 4G modem. I would like to have my Bubba to be my router and just use the Dovado just as a modem. Since the latest firmware on the Tiny it supports bridge mode which does exactly this. It has worked just fine for a month or two but ...

Re: Backup using CrashPlan (installation guide/howto)

Finally got it to work!! Somehow I had setup the wrong SSH tunnel. The correct is ssh -N -L 4200:localhost:4243 username@192.168.1.1. Important is that it is localhost since Crashplan only binds to localhost for the GUI, and then the second IP is to the machine to setup the tunnel to with your usern...

Re: Backup using CrashPlan (installation guide/howto)

Noticed two things; 1) it takes really LONG time for Crashplan to start. Read somewhere 4 minutes but mine takes about 9! So one thing I did wrong yesterday was not to wait long enough. 2) now when I did I saw that libmd5 crashes. Apparently this was added in 3.2 of CrashPlan and I found this page t...

Re: Backup using CrashPlan (installation guide/howto)

Hi, thanks for a very good guide/howto, detailed and easy to follow. But I couldnt get it to work:( It seems CrashPlan starts without problem on my B3, cannot see anything odd in the logs. But when I try to setup the tunnel and CrashPlan Desktop tries to connect I get: channel 3: open failed: connec...

Please recommend a B3-friendly HDTV for DLNA

I have a Western Digital HD Live TV or what it's called. I'm very satisfied. It's cheap, about 70€ and plays almost everything. The only thing it cant play that I have noticed is an Iso spilt into rars. It has no propblem to play a 1080p movie which is stored on my B3.

Re: Extremely slow file transfer after 2.3 update?

Hi Johannes, now when I got the 4G dongle to work on my PC I did a final test that it still didnt work before sending you the login info etc, and guess what? Now it took just five minutes to copy 7 Gb! So now all works as expected! Do not know what I had done wrong before. I tried to setup all as be...

Re: Extremely slow file transfer after 2.3 update?

You are most welcome to ssh into my machine, I'm just not sure how. Since I get my internet connection through a 4G dongle I need some way to route that over to the B3 and do some port forwarding so you can access it. I have been away the whole weekend but did a test on thursday last week to hook up...

Re: Extremely slow file transfer after 2.3 update?

Johannes, I made a quick drawing how things looks like: http://www.yelloworb.com/orbblog/wp-content/uploads/network-sketch-20110916-134209.jpg The bad transfer speeds I get when playing films on the mediaserver or copying files to and from the PC. As you stated, I cannot transfer files to the Mac. T...

Extremely slow file transfer after 2.3 update?

Nop, forgot to tell I have a PC too and a WD Tv live HD mediaplayer which are on the local network. I have also done file transfer from the Mac to B3 by connecting to the B3 wifi but disable that to make sure that there is no network loop.(though it seems the B3 and the Mac handles that well)

Extremely slow file transfer after 2.3 update?

It's a Mac OSX with snow leopard. I use the built in Internet sharing to make the 4G connection available to the B3. The B3's WAN port is connected with a cable to the Mac. One thing I could probably do but which I never have done is to setup a SSH tunnel between my VPS(where I host a number of webs...
