Re: Update UBOOT from OS

A working command to flash U-Boot is: mtd_debug write /dev/mtd0 0 $(stat --printf '%s' "u-boot.kwb") "u-boot.kwb" The official nandwrite /dev/mtd0 u-boot.kwb does not work. nandwrite does not recognize the .kwb file as a valid image. The flasherase command works flawless. Damaru...

Re: uboot update needed.

Hey First I'd like to thank MouettE, for the great help in these posts: http://forum.excito.net/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=4641&start=45#p25533 http://forum.excito.net/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=4641&start=45#p25541 The way to fix the MAC adresses should be merged into UBOOT upstream, this seems t...

Re: Multicast forward?

Hi This is also a problem with other routers, especially people running dd-wrt, open-wrt and other opensource firmware on their respective routers. You are right on the multicast traffic spamming your wireless network jamming it up making it completely useless. I have a b3 with wireless, but current...

Re: No share, no media server - Bubba 2

Thats exactly my point, there is no association with the eth1, infact if there is no cable in eth1, that could explain why samba is not able to load on a disabled networkadapter. I would advice you to change the config of smb.conf to eth0 and restart the samba service and then see how it looks then....

Re: No share, no media server - Bubba 2

If that log is from when you tried to start samba up manually and the B3 has been up for lets say some minuts, I think you want to dump your /etc/samba/smb.conf and what output you get on a command like: 'ifconfig'.

Re: Multicast forward?

Hi. I know this is an old thread, and reviving could seem a mistake, however this is the only thread that comes on the list with you search the forum for IGMP and this is exactly what I intended to write a post about, and why I don't start a new. I also think that this subject will have to come rele...

Re: Adding phpMyAdmin to your Bubba

Not to go offtopic on installing phpMyAdmin. However I want to warn users against it, unless you REALLY know what you are doing. After a some personal experinces with phpMyAdmin thru the years all I can say is that it's insecure. I've seen crackers wipe entire MySql DB's with phpMyAdmin just by usin...

Re: accessing and working with the Bubba

Hi. I don't use windows at home, but when ever I need to access my b3 from a windows machine I use PuTTY: http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/ Alternativ Kitty which is close to being the same thing, but has a few tweaked features: http://kitty.9bis.com/ These programs excel due to the...

Re: No share, no media server - Bubba 2

I also had a problem with the samba service not starting. 1, it was enabled in the web, 2. checked the init.d for samba, 3 I checked that it was a @s06 in the rc2.d and the b3 was in init = 2. I can't seem to find out why it does not start then - other than the service might try and start too soon i...

Re: easyfind not working

@Johannes I just resently installed it using the b3 as my router, otherwise I've just used it as file server (its a few months old). - So no it never worked for me. And I tried getting it to work this week. Additional, my friend got a b3 and his easyfind works, only his has been working for months. ...

Re: easyfind not working

Hi. It won't work for me, I press on, type in a single ord 9 letters all lowercase, press "Update Easyfind". I get this at the buttom: Name is not valid. Server responded: Failed to verify request. I tried others names as to make sure it does not seem taken - no luck with anything. Just wa...
