mounting /home in a rescue environment
Hi, I just wanted to share an easy method I used when trying to salvage data in rescue-mode ( with an usb-stick ) from my dying disk. I know several other methods have been posted, but this did the trick for me. I firstly mounted sda1: mount /dev/sda1 /mnt Then ran these 5 commands to find out more ...

Re: Is Easyfind down?
Maybe my last post was confusing: Although the functions of the easyfind have been copied, they were not yet activated. This is because the original easyfind was still working fine and there was no direct need. Now that easyfind has stopped without announcement, we did end up in the unfortunate sit...

I second that. Really useful and serves my purposes nicely. Thanks Excito!toukie wrote:Easyfind works just fine, I never had a problem with it.

Re: External HFS+ harddrives
I've attached an external disk to my B3 with HFS+ as filesystem. I think all I did was to install hfsprogs when I formatted my disk as HFS+ I also labeled it (I would recommend the use of labels if you plan to make it a persistant part of B3's filesystem, since /dev/sdc2 might be /dev/sdb1 upon a re...

Same issue here. Music only plays for a couple of minutes.

If I can hijack this thread, I think the thread maker meant the greeting message when ssh:ing to b3.

Re: forked-daapd problems with mp3 tags
I corrected all my id3-tags using beets which is a python-project that collects and corrects track/album data using musicbrainz.org. It is a cmd-line tool but very easy to use, I highly recommend it.

Re: Wrong pictures added in album
I've also seen this problem, I think it's related to firefox. I added an album using FF and had the problem, removed it and re-added it resulting in new but incorrect images.
Tested the same procedure using google chrome, and the correct images were added.

newbie network setup
Hi guys, I bought a b3 yesterday and I haven't been able to fiddle with it eough yet :) So far I really love it since it isn't just a dumb NAS, it's a complete configurable debian server. However my main weakness lies in network configurations, how would you set it up to run having my set-up. My int...
