Re: Did all B2s use the same processor?

Hi,

If my memory serves me correct it is the same model CPU on all B2s i.e. MPC8313ERDB. We did however have two silicon revisions of this chip. (Killing of a lot of uggly ethernet bugs :| )

Neither should impact instruction or object formats.

Re: Excito in bankruptcy

Regarding Easyfind, Not wanting to do any promises but more of wanting to hear what people think. I was toying with the idea that there could be some synergies for integrating Easyfind into our, OpenProducts, dyndns that we provide. We have the infrastructure in place that is similar. (Go figure :) ...

Re: OpenProducts to take over Excito B3 product line

Hi all, Sorry for the late reply in this thread. We salubrate the Swedish national day today :) To start off let me say that even though we are working on getting the deal into place between Excito and OpenProducts (OP) we still have some work to do finalizing this. Thus anything I say right now mus...

[Cancelled] OpenProducts to take over Excito B3 product line

Update: Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Unfortunately OpenProducts has determined that it has to cancel the plans on a B3 takeover. Read more later in this thread . Original post: OpenProducts are happy to announce that Excito and OpenProducts are currently working on the final details of an ag...

Thanks and Goodbye

I would like to "abuse" this Announcement forum a bit and take some time saying goodbye (for now). After almost ten years at Excito I, some time ago, decided that it was time to focus on other stuff. So since some one month ago I have started working for my self as a freelance developer while contem...

Re: problem with ftdaemon

Hmm, are you sure it really deletes the folder?

1. find only returns files found nothing else (the type f option)
2. rm is not issued with the -r thus not removing any folders.

But as said previously, i havn't actually tested it, thus no guarantees :)

Re: problem with ftdaemon

Hmm, i don't think so. I have problems with the -a for ls when wildcarding.

Perhaps something like:

find /home/*/torrents -type f -exec rm -i {} \;

(Totally untested)

(Ubi, just noted that you are soon passing me as top no1 poster at this forum :) )

Re: problem with ftdaemon

No unfortunately not. The downloader keeps some of the torrents, the ones added with an URL in the UI, as dot files I.e .torrentfile which won't be removed in this scenario.

Re: problem with ftdaemon

@ubi, it effectively cleans out all stored torrent files. The reason for the error is that the downloader barfs heavily on some torrents (Bug). Deleting all torrent files removes the culprits.

Re: Software update fails

Hi all, Regarding the problems with questions regarding moving to "dependency based sequencing"- This is most likely due to an installation of some package not preinstalled by Excito. If one do install packages not preinstalled by us one should never use the web-based updater since it doesn't suppor...

Re: Do the e-SATA ports support Port Multiplier?

Hi Kthu, As i read the add the guy(?) who sells this also provides a "Silicon Image si3132 based PCIe card", i.e. he slips his pcie sata card for use in the PC side. Reading up on the 3132 chip it indicates that it does both FIS and CMD based switching which would explain that it works with the SOHO...

Re: B3 buzzer + change front LED color

Hi asl, Regarding defconfigs, I think you really would like to have our default default one if possible. The other three is only for our maintenance and could safely be removed. The phy-led patch does not add any necessary functionality. WIthout it the leds will, as implied, be inverted i.e on it is...

Re: B3 buzzer + change front LED color

Hi again asl, You are absolutely correct in that one should use the gpio-led functionality. The reason for me not using it in the first place was to accommodate the use of this one wire pvm. Unfortunately our userspace code isn't that abstracted. Fortunately we are talking about some shell scripts a...

Re: B3 buzzer + change front LED color

Hi asl (And others), You can safely ignore these functions for now. The first revisions of B3 had a one wire "pvm" interface to enable blinking with the leds. This never worked out due to crappy documentation on that circuit (Resulting in really crappy code on that part as well). Thus we ripped out ...
