vgrename did it

I solved this by attaching the disk to antoher Debian system which did not have a LVM volume group named "bubba". On that machine I simply renamed the volume group to "bubbaold". I then re-attached the disk to the B3 box and was then able to mount the disk/volumes. So now rsync is copying all the da...

Mount LVM "bubba" volumes in new B3

I'm not very experienced with LVM and have a hopefully simple question. I recently upgraded my B3 by getting a new 3TB disk. I mounted this new disk and did a clean install of the B3. It is now up and working fine. Next step was that I took the original hard disk from my B3 and attached it to the B3...

Upgrade disk

I just got a new 3TB disk for my Bubba 3. I now simply want to clone the existing disk (2TB) within the Bubba3 to the new disk. And then insert the 3TB disk into the Bubba3. What is the "best" command to use if i want to clone the disk in this way? I have limited experience of Linux disk cloning too...

Database version mismatch; need to recreate...

I am very pleased with the new DLNA server MiniDLNA. Finally it just works! With my PS3, XBOX 360 and my Samsung SmartTV! Very nice! But I am curious as to why the MiniDLNA server thinks that the database is corrupt everytime it starts? I keep getting this message in the log when I start MiniDLNA Da...

Re: Re-install Bubba Two - problems with USB stick

The issue I had was that my USB stick had a GPT partition table. Once I converted it to a MBR partition table it worked fine.

Re-install Bubba Two - problems with USB stick

I put it on a FAT32 formatted USB stick (4GB in size) I then follow the manuals and press the power button while connecting the power cord. The led flashes but...

Re: B2 => B3 best (safest) way to copy data

Thanks, great post!

I'm a long time fan of Norton Commander, I have dabbed with Midnight Commander... but for some reason I had forgotten all about the FTP support within MC.

Great way to selectively copy what you want between BUBBAs :-)
