Re: B3 still available for purchase

Tweety - When I received my Bubba and Bubba|2 ... BOTH times my Excito products were "held hostage" at NYC customs (Kennedy) demanding $$ Goodfellas still exists ... BTW . Excito claimed ignorance ( we handed it to Swedish Post ). The first time, they let it pass after sitting in NYC for ...

Re: B3 still available for purchase

Rodeus (Montreal, Quebec, Canada), for North American clients, now lists the Excito B3 (without disk) for $85.00 http://excitostore.com greg With shipping to Europe, thats 109 Canadian dollars which equates to ~74€, while if you go by the shipping quoted above, the same price is 50€ (25€ + 25€ ship...

Re: Debian jessie image 1.0 released for Bubba|2 / B3

I currently have a B3 based on the Wheezy image (thanks, MouettE!). Is there a feasible way to upgrade what I have to Jessie without wiping out that root partition? Or perhaps a clean way to find all of the packages I've installed manually, and the configuration changes I've made, so that I could i...

Re: B3 still available for purchase

May be. The problem with that company is that for every country you select for shipping address the website tells you they don't ship to that country. Except for one... But I suppose if one could use some reliable intermediate, shipping the product twice within Europe would still be fairly cheaper ...

Re: B3 still available for purchase

I can vouch for that working well... I have just taken delivery of my second and third brand new B3 from them, and have them up and running, the second replacing my B2 that was starting to strain under its current workload, and the third one as my spare unit and test bed for things that shouldn't ta...

Re: Debian jessie image 1.0 released for Bubba|2 / B3

Thx for swift reply. I'm afraid that recompiling Gentoo patches into deb packages is quite a bit above my level, sorry. The Bubba overlay had it all nicely wrapped together indeed, but as said I will leave Jessie-izing that to smarter people that myself. I guess I'll have to just install whatever i...

Re: Debian jessie image 1.0 released for Bubba|2 / B3

I'll say it again... MouttE, thank you, thank you, thank you for your work... :D After FUBAR'ing my install yet again, for what time in the order I don't know... As I was trying to mangle together scripts I barely understand, I got fed up restoring from scratch, and figured I'd give it a go t...

Re: Debian jessie image 1.0 released for Bubba|2 / B3

I'd just like to thank you MouttE for this image! I have now a working B3 with Debian Jessie running Webmin and Transmission/DLNA/Samba/FTP servers like I wanted it too, with support for Java 8 to run a renamer for downloaded files before adding them to the library... It took a little work to get al...

Re: B3 final sale!

I guess that this sale is no longer active due to the bankruptcy. The shop is now closed since we cannot manage shipping single orders (a lot of practical things broke due to the bankruptcy, such as our deal with the shipping agent), but there is still 100+ B3 (no wifi, no disk) in stock, and the b...

Re: Excito in bankruptcy

Well... Unfortunately I'm a hardware guy... I could probably reverse engineer the B3 from the ground up if I needed, but I frequently get stumped implementing things written in the Wiki... So, my time and efforts will likely not be beneficial to the rest... I have use the easyfind system, but...

2.6 upgrade really did a number on my B2...

File manager isn't working, shows only the bar with arrows to sort files, nothing more... Fireplay is refusing to connect, a la 2.4.1 issue... Lot's of other issues... So, I did a re-install from USB (keeping my files), and hit upgrade again... Same story... OK, then, gloves come off... Moving all m...
