Re: B3 purchase
first: give them a bit more time than merely 24 hours. second: If you don't mind buying used, I own two B3s (1 WLAN, 1 LAN) in Germany (cheap shipping + Type C plug!) that I am willing to part with. I am pretty sure both still work, but I will check. I know that one of them has a slightly defective ...

Re: B3 replacement
I was mostly unhappy with the power consumption, old Single-Core CPU and OS-on-HDD arrangement (permanent noise). The B3 was a great device, but its time with me has ended.

Re: New In Box Bubba 3's for sale to USA
If you don't mind me posting here, I've got two used B3s (One Wifi, one LAN version) for sale in Europe. They both boot Mouette's most recent Debian Stretch 1.1 image and give the same string about the bootloader (U-Boot 2013.01.01-b3-rodeus-gab59ad7 (Apr 21 2017 - 16:32:01) ), which is an upgraded ...

Re: Any B3's for sale in Europe?
I still have two B3s lying around here (Germany), the board of one of them might be broken though. If someone is interested, I'll check how functional they are. I've got one Wifi and one LAN version case and boards. I named the boards beta and gamma. Beta and Gamma both boot a disk with a Debian wh...

Re: B3 replacement
Hey, if you're still searching: I recently replaced my B3 in favor of a Terramaster F2-220 NAS [1] but with the goal of running a regular Ubuntu Server on it. The NAS boots its proprietary OS from a USB stick plugged into an internal USB port that you can switch out for another one. The mainboard al...

Re: How do I extract files from "storage"?
You're on a standard install of the B3 system, right? The storage partition is by default using an ext4-filesystem inside an LVM volume. You cannot mount that directly with an ext-mounting tool, because you need to deal with the LVM layer first. I don't know if there's any software for mac that can ...

Re: Debian stretch (9) image 1.0 released for B3
If you are talking about gnome-disk-utility (or "Disks" in Ubuntu), it says so in the top right panel.
I think that tool would also inform you, if it did not in fact have one.

Re: Debian stretch (9) image 1.0 released for B3
Just upgraded my B3 from your previous jessie image. If you get an error message about gpg-key EF0F382A1A7B6500 missing, install/upgrade the package "debian-archive-keyring". e: Also, halting the system doesn't hang ssh anymore. Didn't know what caused that, but it was standard behaviour f...

Re: b2 howto install dhcpcd5?
I assume your B2 is running the unmodified Excito software and underlying Debian squeeze, right? The main problem is support for Debian squeeze ended this year. You can try to user the "-t wheezy" option to specifically search the wheezy repo and "-s" to only simulate the process...

Re: Debian jessie image 1.0 released for Bubba|2 / B3
Okay, more testing revealed some insights into a possible problem with the B3-Debian jessie-1.0 image. Setup: One Disk with B3-Debain-jessie-1.0, but two B3 boards (called alpha and beta) with the same U-Boot Problem: If you swap the Board, but keep the same OS installed on disk, the ethernet ports ...

Re: Debian jessie image 1.0 released for Bubba|2 / B3
e: I'll keep the stuff below for posterity, but the problem was solved by FIRST flashing the new U-Boot ("Rodeus" Version from Mouette's Github), then running the jessie-1.0 installer afterwards instead of the other way around. Original problem: So, I have 3 B3s now and something weird is ...

Re: Forum upgrade
good job keeping this forum alive.
Is there a way to enable HTTPS for it too? Obtaining a cert shouldn't be an issue with letsencrypt, but I guess it depends whether the hoster allows you to enable that yourself or forces you to buy an upgrade.
