I found out that the issue was caused by the firewall.
After enabling administration through the admin interface and completely disabling the firewall, everything started to work fine.

Bridge WAN and LAN interfaces on B3 - SOLVED
Dear all I've been trying to bridge the LAN and WAN interfaces on my B3 in order to be able to connect an additional device to my LAN (see attachment for details).
