Re: Easyfind migration

Gordon -
Know that part.

Firmware upgrade for B2 appears to still "hard-code": http://xxxx.myownb2.com
for Easy Find usage. More than happy to change config in Debian,
as long as target server will be around -- more than a few months.

Re: Easyfind migration

No, not working.
What is the correct domain name, after all the changes??
... settings change required to B2 ?

I can bring up the ns1.mybubba.org directory -- but it just shows test directory.

Re: Easyfind migration

The servers were migrated. You should no longer reference 'mybubba' but use 'excito' like before
OK. I see that Easyfind not working (for my B2).

Under Settings -> Identify -> Easyfind Options -> http://xxxx.myownb2.com
xxxx is Easyname name that I have.

What changed?

Re: Release notes for Excito Bubba 2&3 software version 2.6.

Happen to check the Excito website and forum earlier today,
and saw notice about version 2.6.3.0 update.
Happy to report that using the standard web interface that Update installation was successful.
It was installed in about 90 seconds.

Re: Replacing disk in B2?

The Excito "B2" model (current Linux versions) will only support up to 2 TB drives. I installed a new Western Digital 2TB RED (NAS) hard drive, part number: WD20EFRX then installed (and updated) the Bubba 2 image. Appears to be working fine, now with 4 times the storage ! I noticed that the WD hard ...

I noticed that the WD hard drive is quieter and cooler (40-42 degrees C) in operation.

New Hard Drive for Bubba 2 (B2)

I have reached the capacity of my reliable B2, SO it is time to upgrade the Hard Drive. 2, 3 and 4 TB hard drives are readily available from Western Digital (now color coded). What is the best choice for: "Color type" (Green, Red, Black) and Size (2, 3 or 4 TB) given the B2 hardware configuration? g...

Re: Release notes for BUBBA|2 version 2.0.2

I never was able to get this upgrade / update to work properly with my B2 (< 2.0 firmware). It would hang at 40%, I will have to check to see IF I still have the log file -- if this would be helpful. I ended up waiting for a time -- when I could perform this upgrade -- the old fashioned way. Backup ...

Re: B1/2 -> B3 upgrade discount

I would very much like to see this B3 discount apply for my original Bubba Server.
I am considering retiring this server (PATA drives, etc.) for a B3.

I have a 500 GB Seagate SATA drive in my Bubba|Two
When I bring up the Home page (Administration menus):

Total disk size 459,033 MB
Free disk space 434,409 MB

Basically it is the current image plus a 'get' for WordPress application.

I purchased the original Bubba and Bubba|Two w/o hard drives .. to reduce US custom handling charges I pay .. and I prefer to purchase hard drives "in country" for warranty purposes. I have been happy :) with the Seagate Barracuda SATA/300 hard drive (500 GB; 16 MB Cache) ... ST3500641AS in my Bubba...

tor - Thanks for the Bubba|Two firmware upgrade. Working as advertised, new version (1.1.2) has been up for 2 days now. Bubba seems to be more consistent in response time from network (LAN or WAN). Tried EasyFind for a few hours -- works -- I need to address a couple of issues with my router (port f...

I have set-up my Bubba and Bubba|Two from "no disk" situations, so I will offer some suggestions. 1. Before installing the hard drive into your Bubba enclosure, assure that you have a good drive. I do this by installing in a PC running MS Windows and using the manufacturer's software. In your situat...
