Re: z-stick aeotec gen5 cant get it working....

It's probably because there are some missing modules in the stretch kernel. I'll take a look.

Re: Debian stretch (9) image 1.0 released for B3

You don't need to upgrade u-boot to use the stretch image, the kernel is patched to support the old version.

Re: Debian jessie image 1.0 released for Bubba|2 / B3

Hello,

just remove the image line (you could also remove the general section altogeter but I'll understand if you'll leave wipe at false ;-) ). If image si not provided or if the file does not not exists, the installer will exit leaving the rescue system running.

Re: Debian stretch (9) image 1.0 released for B3

Hello, The button is still handled by bubba-buttond in the stretch image (it's a GPIO key event). The 2 seconds timeout should still be active and triggers the shutdown through a /sbin/shutdown -h now command. All sources along with systemd unit files are in the b3-utils repository. I will do a quic...

Re: Debian stretch (9) image 1.0 released for B3

Thanks for the info Puma, I don't have WiFi B3 at home anymore so I didn't see that. Note that it only applies to the wifi interfaces, wired lan and wan interfaces remains eth0 and eth1.

Re: Original Bubba OS support abandoned?

We did some cleanup in the DNS, the right address is b3.update.excito.org. AFAIK update.excito.org is not used in the legacy image.

Re: Debian stretch (9) image 1.0 released for B3

Just did a few tests with the image changing the size value and everything seems to work fine. Can you post the content of your install.ini file (remove empty/comment lines) ?

Re: Debian stretch (9) image 1.0 released for B3

I've noticed today that if you've upgraded from jessie to stretch with the easyfind-client installed, the easyfind functionnality broke. I've released new version of excito-release and easyfind-client which fixed the issue. Please do a usual apt-get update / apt-get upgrade to upgrade these packages.

Re: Debian stretch (9) image 1.0 released for B3

Here's a brief report of a successful Stretch installation using this image. It worked flawlessly. Thanks! Good ! Is it safe to assume that the common disk tools on linux defaults to creating a partition table when they format and create a new filesystem on a usb drive? Yes it is safe to think so.

Debian stretch (9) image 1.1 released for B3

Hello everyone, I've just release the debian stretch image for the B3. As stated previously debian dropped support for the powerpc architecture so it's not avaible for the Bubba|2 :( . As for the jessie image, this image is constructed from 3 different projects : the stretch OS image itself, a updat...

Re: Debian 9 (stretch)

Like I said, it's somewhat tricky :D (but a lot of fun too I admit). If someone is feeling confident and crazy enough to create a debian package which would build a patched up kernel, include the interstitial stuff and everything I will be more than happy to add it to the stretch repo. In the meanti...
