Question: network statistics per protocol
Prior to getting the B3 I used a Linksys WRT54G with the OpenWRT firmware. A feature that I miss is the overview/statistics/breakdown of the network flow into different protocols. So, my question to the community here is: How can I get the B3 to produce network traffic flow data based on protocol (e...

Re: [request] Extensibility of the admin interface
Dear Ubi.
Thanks for the lesson in business, to which I will not respond.
Please note that the company Excito has created a bulleitn board named "B2 & B3 Feature Requests" and that's where I posted my suggestion.

Re: [request] Extensibility of the admin interface
If you draw me a mockup on how you like to see this happening I'll show you. Also I stated previously that the connectivity betwwen the current interface and the framework is the part that needs to be developed. This is still vastly better than building such a framework from scratch. Then again you...

Re: [request] Extensibility of the admin interface
Then you really do not understand how munin works. But if you rather complain until you get exactly what you want instead of actually getting something really close to what you want, then indeed, keep going :D Thanks for the productive and polite answer. You may please help me understand how munin ...

Re: [request] Extensibility of the admin interface
I didn't suggest munin just to be a smartass. If you want an extensible framework that is robust and reliable, it is best to build this on top of existing software rather than build this from scratch. Excito does not have the development capactiy to fully maintain such a framework. Just look at FTD...

Re: [request] Extensibility of the admin interface
No, munin does exactly what the OP is asking for. Nope. I cannot see how you reached that conclusion. Please read my post again, the whole text this time... Not at all. The OP wants a way of adding stuff to the web admin interface. I guess one example could be a "plugin" that added a surv...

Re: How do i direct user FTP login to storage folder?
When i have anonymous access set on i can login with no username or password at all, is this normal? That is a very normal behaviour. Anonymous FTP access means that everyone can access the account without needing a password. If that is not desirable then you should disable anonymous FTP and create...

/etc/motd restored after reboot
Yesterday I had to restart my B3 after 145 day of consecutive uptime due to dnsmasq freaking out after having disconnected the WAN network cable. After the reboot I noticed that the motd displayed when logging in via SSH had been reset to the default one. My questions are Which files/configurations ...

Re: Duplicity problems - groing large and no list in web int
We have a prototype of a new backup solution ready and in testing (still not entirely feature complete though) which is a much simpler sync-style backup. Coming in our next release. I'm curious to hear when this new release will be available ... and would like to add some expectatons that it will b...

Re: LED colour settings logics (?)
Well, you could have made that in another way and thus not only reaching backwards compatibility but also increased capabilities. How ocme that the led_* scripts in /etc/init.d/ is still in the B3 build? They seem kind of outdated, especially the one for flashing the LED that doesn't seem to have an...
