Re: Howto: graph network traffic using RRDtool

I tried Cacti and it was so good at making something simple very hard and with very poor documentation so I went for the bare bone implementation.

Is munin easy to configure? Cacti sucked badly and had no proper and structured documentation.

LED colour settings logics (?)

How come that the RGB-LED only allows 4 out of 7 combinations where any of RGB is on? I would have expected that it was a 3-bit signal so that: 0=000=off 1=001=blue 2=010=green 3=011=cyan 4=100=red 5=101=magenta 6=110=yellow 7=111=white Instead we have 0=000=blue 1=001=red 2=010=green 3=011=n/a 4=10...

Howto: Let the LED indicate ongoing backup jobs

I just hacked this simple solution to let the LED indicate if a backup job, either duplicity or rsync, is executing or not. If you find it useful, use it, share it and maybe reply to this thread. If you find room for improvement please post your version below. If you have suggestions or questions......

Re: Duplicity problems - groing large and no list in web int

Sincerelly I find it sad to get an answer from Excito that doesn't cover any of the topics and questions. 0) is there a way to set a higher time out than 120 seconds for the web server to respond to the AJAX request? 1) How am I supposed to be able to restore from a backup using the web interface? 2...

Re: Duplicity problems - groing large and no list in web int

I do a lot of rsync on and from the B3 but haven't found any decent and compatible Windows port of rsync.
The one available in cygwin fails when syncing to B3.

Duplicity problems - groing large and no list in web interfa

I've set my 2TB B3 to perform daily backup at http://b3/admin/backup The data is backed up to the external 2TB Excito bubba storage unit. Problems http://b3/admin/backup displays the message "Retrieving data for selected backup job. Please stand by" but then hangs. When loading the page re...

The page mentions "the V1 and the M1" but no further details.
What are those devices and when will they be launched.

Re: anything special to do when swapping motherboard?

Easyfind didn't work after I got my MB swapped since it somehow is based on the MAC address.

Guest WLAN

I used to have a D-link DIR-655 and then a OpenWRT based device. Either of these had a feature for guest WLAN so what, technically, stops the B3 from being set up for that purpose? Isn't it possible to 1) have dual WLAN SSIDs or passwords? 2) if so, based on which the user authenticates via have DHC...

Re: B3 netwok configuration: is there any documentation?

+1 for that.
As my $0.02 worth of extra questions I add "... and which of the config files are affected by Excito software updates and which are safe to change knowing thet my changes will survive after an update?"
