Re: BUBBA TWO does not connect over satellite link
One other option of course would be to just use the LAN port, set up custom profile and use route add -net to route all traffic over the one port. It'll halve your effective data throughput, but might help you in the short term.

Bubba Two and cooler
Got the Bubba Two in place on our network, but being a bit of a geek, didn't like it being slightly warm to the touch (air flow by the mini rack is poor at the best of times and it is almost summer), so grabbed that old Zalman NC2000 laptop cooler I picked up off eBay for a couple of dollars and don...

Re: Bubba Two Power Consumption
I'm guessing from the lack of replies that 25- 30W consumption is normal for a 1TB Bubba Two.

Re: Bubba unreachable after power failure
If you plug a laptop directly into the Bubba Two on its LAN port, what does your IP info show? Just had to figure this out today, moving the Bubba across networks and I needed to reset the LAN IP.
Plugging a Linux laptop in, I had it sussed in about 30 seconds.

Re: BUBBA TWO does not connect over satellite link
Yes you can, by editing the dnsmasq config. I'd suggest reading the manual carefully, but you should be able to configure it to not use NAT.

Bubba Two Power Consumption
Just a simple question really, but how much power should a brand new Bubba Two with a 1TB disk be drawing? Its not exactly thrashing - top shows very little activity, but its drawing almost 30W peak (25.97W average over last 24 hours) and I understood that should be closer to 12 - 15W. The Bubba Sto...

Bubba Two - wishlist (edited)
We have now replaced our server with the Bubba Two and the only major niggle is the network performance, which is being worked on I guess. With my 2 boys playing online, it struggles a bit and they are moaning about their ping times and latency. Wishlist for a future product/software release. Cleare...

Re: Gigabit LAN connection with an average speed of 2,5 MB p/s
Not sure if its helpful or not for your debug, but 2 parallel transfers via FTP totals around 6 MB/s so it would seem to be a bandwidth throttling somewhere. A 3rd parallel transfer does not increase the bandwidth beyond @6 MB/s level The speed would make sense if I was running on a 100Mbit half dup...

Re: Gigabit LAN connection with an average speed of 2,5 MB p/s
Hi Johannes, Having completed the upgrade and rebooted, and re-running some FTP transfers, throughput is now down to 2.5 - 3 MB/s, so half what it was already. Don't see a reason for it. Wireshark running on the old server isn't showing any unusual activity. using ncftp to transfer data onto the pro...

Re: How to set up USB memory for rescue?
Did you make sure the light sequence was right? If you don't follow the instructions on the User Guide quite right, it never actually gets into the right mode and won't do the boot. I know the instructions on the User Guide are good as it was one of the first things we tested when our Bubba Two arri...

Not yet as we are also seeing the gpg signature issue and I don't want to cancel this transfer as its been running a very long time now.
