Re: Debian jessie image 1.0 released for Bubba|2 / B3
Hi Gordon and sakaki Thank you for your inputs. I'm very sorry for making an error in my last post. I wrote SATA when I should have written E-SATA. Sorry! The problem is this: The Jessie installs fine on the HDD. However it won't setup the WAN and LAN correctly, so I don't have an IP-address to ssh ...

Re: Debian jessie image 1.0 released for Bubba|2 / B3
Hi again Here are my latest attempts at getting Jessie running on my b3. What works and gives b3 an IP (so I can ssh into it): Gentoo live 1.8.0 Arch live 1.2.0 Full install of b3-install-2.2.zip Full install of b3-install-2.4.1.1.zip What doesn't give b3 an IP: b3-install-1.0.zip in rescue mode b3-...

Re: Debian jessie image 1.0 released for Bubba|2 / B3
Also my laptop(Ubuntu 14.04) keeps searching for a wired connection, but cannot connect to the LAN or WAN ports on the B3.
This is the most likely reason why I cannot ssh into the B3.
But why are my LAN and WAN ports not working?

Re: Debian jessie image 1.0 released for Bubba|2 / B3
Alrighty I did the default install from a usb-key and it seems (from the log) like everything went oki-doki, but now I don't know which ip to ssh into... I tried excito@192.168.10.1 and also 192.168.1.1, but I just get a 'ssh: connect to host 192.168.1.1 port 22: Network is unreachable'. Any help wo...

Re: Debian jessie image 1.0 released for Bubba|2 / B3
Thanks Moutte and Puma I read a little bit about setting up the hostapd on Debian and I ended up with this list: Pre-install: Backup important stuff Make a copy of /etc/network/interfaces from Wheezy Make a copy of /etc/hostapd/hostapd.conf from Wheezy Install: Install Jessie Install hostapd Activat...

Re: Debian jessie image 1.0 released for Bubba|2 / B3
Does wifi work with this install on a B2? Or if not, can I make it work myself without too much work? From what I can understand in the install.ini file(for both B2 and B3), then it 'only' sets up LAN and WAN. There are no setup parameters for wifi. I'm ready to try this image and have backed up my...

Re: DLNA
Alrighty then! I will be restoring my B3 again, to make sure everything is "as should be". The ftp- and dlna problems were the only ones I encountered, but I could have missed "all the others" :-) Anyways, not happy to be doing this again (plus the back-up...) Edit: Did a non-par...

Re: DLNA
Johannes I used 'b3-install-2.3.zip' dated 2011-11-28T21:21:43 CET Above file was used to restore my B3 after I had somehow locked myself out of it :D After system restore I had to do a: echo "192.168.10.1 b3.localdomain b3">>/etc/hosts to gain ftp-access the B3. Also samba was not showing...

Re: DLNA
Thank you so much for this thread!, it totally helped me. My configuration file did not include audio and video, only pictures. This is why I could not understand the strange behaviour of the B3. The inclusion of audio and video in the configuration file made the content of the B3 visible to my PS3....
