Re: full raid on B3 running Jessie

Mouete,

Thanks for your quick reaction.
It seams very complicated.
So for me the best solution is probarbly only raid sda2 (home partition).

That way u-boot can still boot from the root partition.

When you have a better idea let me know.
How does everybody else this??

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

I run Jessie with following partiotions sda1 (root), sda 2 swap and sda home and storage.

Is it possible to run full raid 1 without changing u-boot?

Does anybody has this running? Tutorial? disadvantages?

Thanks in advance.

Re: B3 still available for purchase

Gordon,

Just received my order from the company.
Online I could not order to the netherlands.
But if you contact the company they will arrange this.
I got 2x b3 and 2x S1 delivered in 2 days for 250 SEK - about 25 euro transport with UPS.

Re: Connecting b3 (Jessie) to WLAN

Pai, As far as I know the following packages are needed: hostapd you can install this with apt-get install hostapd -y You need to configure the hostapd config file: nano /etc/hostapd/hostapd.conf examples can be found on the web. install a small DNS/DHCP server for example package dnsmasq: apt-get i...

Re: Debian jessie image 1.0 released for Bubba|2 / B3

Gordon / Muette, Funny thing. You are allowed to patch the kernel source files to bypass the regulatory domain setting programmed into the hardware. It is however illegal to distribute such a kernel as a binary. This is really not an issue but a legal matter and I agree that it is annoying but it si...

Re: Debian jessie image 1.0 released for Bubba|2 / B3

lognok, Mouette is right you have to install hostapd to get a AP. The drivers ath9k are already present in de image. The only issue is that the ath9k driver in combination with CDRA (Central Regulatory Domain Agent) looks at the EEPROM regdomain setting. The regdomain is 0x60 (world) due to this the...

Re: Debian Jessie questions

Gordon, The reasons for me to use the 5GHz: - In my neighborhood the 2.4 ghz is very crowded and with strong signals as well. -The 5GHz is empty ( only one in the street has 5GHz) -WIth this setting I was able to run with 240 Mbps, with the 2.4 GHz I could not get more then 54Mbps with my laptops. Re: Debian Jessie questions

Dear Stasheck and Gordon, Thank you for your answers. In the meantime I did a lot of testing... apt get install minidlna works fine (I probarbly messed with the repositries..) Hostapd installed and works only in 2.4 GHz (5 GHz not working due to regulatory domain issues) This is strange I live in th...
