Setting up vnstat for Bubba|2 WiFi
My Bubba|2 WiFi is also my router & firewall connected to broadband cable modem and I'm setting up vnstat which shows data for eth0 and complains there's not enough data to show eth1 (command line vnstat). Using netstat -i it looks like devices br0 (apparently aka wlan0) and eth0 are in fact the...

Re: Can't login via SSH
Solved! Just needed an up-to-date PuTTY which I got via the helpful Excito Wiki at http://wiki.excito.org/wiki/index.php/Howto.

Re: Can't login via SSH
Update - still no joy with PuTTY buy using WinSCP I can open a terminal session in their rather quaint Windowsy style front end and I have a shell. I still want a proper SSH shell and to find out what's wrong with PuTTY. The above suggests to me that the problem is not Bubba config buy PuTTY or PuTT...

Can't login via SSH
Am feeling like a real noob again :-) Ok, I have PuTTY (on Windows XP) and using it with default settings (SSH, port 22) to get to my Bubba|2 WiFi on my LAN (not WAN) and I get a simple "login:" prompt. But my login as my normal username (not admin) is rejected. I have checked and shell lo...

How to preserve file date on upload to Bubba|2
I'm transferring some very large file trees (from CD and HD) to Bubba|2 (from Windows XP). Copying fails at random points because some of the files are unreadable. :( So I switched to ftp which doesn't abort when this happens! :D However, my client says that it can only preserve dates on uploaded fi...

Re: Bubba|2 WiFi (new) "no valid WAN connection"
Thanks Henri for your quick response. I have now tried this and it works (and I'm using it now). After trying this I tried once again to connect B2-WAN to cable modem. Once using Bubba patch cable, and once using cable modem cable (as earlier). Both times I restarted Bubba just to be sure. But no in...

Bubba|2 WiFi (new) "no valid WAN connection"
My Bubba|2 WiFi and Bubba Storage arrived today. Very quick. The system log shows it was running only two days ago! Anyway, so far I am just using Bubba|2 and NetGear WiFi Router (NG) and have had the following working fine: a) laptop to NG-WiFi, NG to B2 by Lan cable, NG to internet by WAN cable: l...
