Maybe it would be a good idea to post information on USB sticks tested and known to be working?

I've used a Sandisk Cruzer Micro 2GB (SDZ4-2048), formatted as FAT-16 in Windows Vista without any issues.

I tried this on my EEE-PC 900 with the default xandros OS installed, and there's no scrollbar in the download page.

However, by using the up/down arrow keys, I'm able to scroll down to display the "Add" button.

I've downloaded and tried IBM java (versions 1.4, 5 and 6), but they're all linked to the older libstdc++.so.5 runtime library (libstdc++.so.6 is installled on bubba two). Does anybody know if it's possible to install the older library together with the newer one, like the "compatlibs" pac...

If you just need a file and/or music server, there are probably better options than the Bubba. At least if matters like low power consumption and small size don't count. Personally, after owning it for almost 18 months, I'm still very impressed with the realibility and the things what you can really...

Hi TazUk, There seems to be an issue with the apt-get package (had the same problem myself). If you download the phpsysinfo gzipped tarball directly from sourceforge.net (http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=15), unzip it, untar it, copy config.php.new to config.php, remove the comm...

Just create a symbolic link to the directory where phpsysinfo is installed, ie cd /var/www/html; ln -s /usr/share/phpsysinfo phpsysinfo

Hi mangan,

Yes, you have to install the XBMC software on the XBOX.

I would say that an old XBOX equipped with a good chip, a big HD and XBMC is really a competetive and cheap alternative to the Windows XP Media Center Edition-based computers sold almost everywhere nowadays

I have a hardware chipped original XBOX (not XBOX 360) running XBOX Media Center (XBMC), and it works great together with bubba as a streaming UPnP Server. So far I've tried .MP3, .AVI (DivX), .MOV, everything works even over my WLAN connection to the XBOX :D

Re: HD temp question

Hi! I have measured the hd temperature using hddtemp utility and it seems to be rather high (almost 50C). Is this a concern? It is lower that segates max temp (60C) but it may reduce the hd life span. /Per Hi Per, Good cooling is always essential, but I wouldn't worry about the temp -- my hd temp v...
