Re: Portforwarding and easyfind
Hi there, Port forwarding should be fairly easy to set up. I have done this for customers with Bubba's so should be easy. Your router will have 2 sides to it. The external side, connected to the internet and an internal side, connected to your internal network. Now this is much easier if your bubba ...

Re: Very slow Ftp-speed
What version of Bubba 2 software are you on? Network speeds have been reported as a bit odd for a lot of people and I fixed it by using a kernel off the unstable repo, but I don't recommend that for everyone. Is it just ftp or is it networking in general? Is it just slow to one host or several diffe...

Re: SSH brute force attack prevention
Not sure if it will solve your issue, but I never run ssh on port 22, for just this reason.
iptables is probably the right route but its difficult with the current Excito implementation. Hopefully this will get addressed at some point in the new year.

Re: server 5 min late
No problem. Its entirely possible for their to be no errors in the log, but NTP to fail to connect. I have seen it a few times, where it appears to be fine and connected, but in fact it is in a partially hung status. Restarting it usually frees up things like that.
Glad its working now.

Re: server 5 min late
I'd suggest restarting NTP firstly and check the NTP logs.
Sounds like you NTP daemon is not actually connecting to the world NTP service

Re: Development statement from Excito please
Hi Tor, Thanks very much for that. Helps to see where you are and the direction you are going. More than happy to test the Wifi and PM'd you on that. Myself and Fourwinds are SysAdmins for a living so we have considerable experience in Linux and Unix. Fourwinds is unfortunately on vacation till Janu...

Re: Easyfind
Easyfind works fine, but don't rely on it for anything other than HTTP (port 80) traffic. It is more of a URL redirect for free, rather than a proper DNS service.

Re: Listen to music from Bubba2 over the internet
Not tried it, but you might be able to tunnel it from a firewall or router so that you can hit your bubba on port 80 and get it to forward. Did this many years ago with RTSP from port 80 to 8181 so the right app got the RTSP request.

Re: Wiki software
Not sure if their are PPC packages available as I haven't looked at it in any great depth, but their is a very good thread on this on the Ubuntu Forums

Footprint of the Wiki itself should be that large.

Development statement from Excito please
Hi Guys, We know all of you at Excito are very passionate about your system and are working on developments, but I have noticed a note of impatience and frustration in a lot of threads on the forums. People are getting fed up of waiting for WiFi to be available. If you keep telling people soon, then...

Re: B2 Crash for much download?
I would suggest upgrading from 1.21 to the latest release. I seem to remember their being some issues back in 1.21 with downloads. Probably workarounds on the forum if you dig around.
