Re: kernel with ipsec support

Hi excito & Co I've compiled a new kernel with ipsec enabled. Some off the settings should be compiled as a module, so that strongswan would start. I made a iperf test that showed that the device was capable of delivering 30 mbit/s aes128 encryption, and probably more. It maxed out our 1000$ zyx...

Well i did, and now i have ipsec running on the baby. And btw. it's the only option you have if excito won't deliver a decent kernel.

Re: kernel with ipsec support

Well yeah, it's kind off stupid. I bricked 1 b3 in the process, it should have been enabled from the beggining, especially when you consider that the chip has a good hardware crypto engine, that they already enabled in the running kernel. I tried the guruplug server plus with strongswan, and it was ...

Re: compiling a new kernel

Well, i made the wrong image offcourse.

From my experience you can configure uboot to try different sources when locating a kernel.

e.g. first try sata, the usb, tftp etc.

But that would require a serial console.

Re: b3

Hi

Well, i would rather have a kernel with ipsec, than returning the unit.

kernel with ipsec support

Hey

It would be nice if the kernel was compiled with ipsec support, so that we could use strongswan for vpn.

Re: Announcing B3

Well, its not that impressive i think. It's nearly the same as the plugs with same chip. What i like about the products, from what i can see, is the built quality off the chassis, integration off web frontend and config files. It could be cool, if you added a frontend for a ipsec vpn or webdav confi...
