Re: Horde changes and idiots guide
Hi Carl, Giving people the option of filtering would be nice. Its something that I've been asked for by customers, who are considering Bubba as a server for SoHo use. Maybe implement the How-to for Postgresql and give non techy users a way to access it? Filtering is RAM intensive, which is why I ori...

Re: Squeezecenter, Samba and jbidwatcher
I've put my recent install experience on the mybubba forum, which on the whole is very good. However, I have three questions I need help with. I've put them here together but could break out if people prefer: 1: Using Squeezecenter (as supplied) on my Bubba2 but it seems to consume quite alot of CP...

Re: Error copy files :(

Check your SAMBA config is correct, but I don't see major issues from Vista 32-bit or 64-bit or Snow Leopard Try ft...

Re: Error copy files :(
Does the user you are trying to copy as, have permission to write to the desitnation directory? Linux and Unix are very particular about who can do what - where.

Re: access.log how to remove it?
Check logrotate is running, but you can usually copy it off to a backup device if you want and create a new file with the same permissions. I use 'touch', CHMOD and CHOWN to do it most often if I'm in a hurry

Re: Release notes for BUBBA|TWO 1.2.1
When you guys release new patches, particularly to the Apache server, can you please not over-ride configs without some kind of prompt. Its a bit annoying to have to keep re-installing my virtual servers from backup everytime you patch

Re: Gigabit LAN connection with an average speed of 2,5 MB p/s
Its been mentioned a few times by people including Excito Admins and I've said it a couple of times as well, but if you are comfortable with fixing your box if it breaks, potentially rendering it unbootable and needing a re-install, then go ahead. Personally I've found the modified kernel works fine...

Re: Support for large block devices
You need to edit your sources file to enable the unstable repos, but I wouldn't recommend trying it unless you are confident you can fix things manually if it goes horribly wrong.
