Re: Congratulations!
Regarding Ext3/4, Its quite simple. When we made the decision on which to use there where quite some flux, about a year ago, in performance and in some areas regarding data integrity. We then decided that we did not wont to gamble on where things where heading and thus we stayed with Ext3. That said...

Re: B3 User management
Hi Ubi & anhtuan445, You are indeed right in that the current B3 kernel doesn't support quota :( If you are willing to try some none tested, they boot on my test system, packages i have uploaded a kernel and a modules package here: http://b3.update.excito.org/test/ . Download both to your unit f...

Re: Can't find ext3 filesystem on B2 hard drive
Hi Moloko,
The most likely reason that you don't find any ext3 filesystem on your /dev/sdb2 is that we use LVM out of the box for Bubba.
You should install the lvm2 tools for ubuntu and then you should be able to access the home partition by manually mounting /dev/bubba/storage

Re: Support forum for B3?
Hi,
Just use the forum for B2. We will rename those to cover both B2 & B3 since they are in most terms identical. (Apart from HW then)

Re: Lenny image and how to proceed
Hi, I just uploaded version 1.0.6 of the Bubba package. This should hopefully resolve the issue with fetchmail not starting as it should. You might have to remove and add any fetcmail jobs in the UI for this fix to take effect. Regarding shutdown. If you issue a shutdown -h now it really should shut...

Re: Announcing B3
Hi kfudd and others, Regarding Java, yes this is available in Debian squeeze. Install i.e. openjdk-6-jre-headless and you have a minimal java environment for java execution. Regarding squeezebox server. This is not available in Debian repos at all and is 100% our own package. So as long as you don't...

Re: Lenny image and how to proceed
Hi,
Uploaded new version of the bubba package, version 1.0.5. This should hopefully fix the problems with setting network config from web admin. I have tested this briefly and it seems to work, but test with some precaution.

Re: Copy data from old Bubba Two drive?
Hi yooakim, This setup is actually not recomended. The reason that this does not work is that all data, at least in default setup, is stored on a LVM volume. (A Logical volume). That results in two problems. First of, the current diskmanager does not work well with multiple LVM volumes. The second p...

Re: Swapper : page allocation failure
Hi g__, The problem isn't that you run out of memory even if it seems like it. What is happening is that you run out of preallocated memory for e.g. DMA transfers. The adjusted setting tells the OS to allocate more memory for these operations. If this solves your problem, please let me know, we shou...

Re: Lenny image and how to proceed
Hi, I've uploaded new versions of the bubba-package and mt-daapd. These should hopefully fix the issues with mt-daapd and avahi announcements disappearing. Further more transcoding is disabled in mt-daapd and it should now announce itself as Firefly on "hostname" instead of Bubba|TWO. Plea...

Hi g__,
Could you try this as root:
And see if this could help your problem.
Note that above setting does not survive a reboot.

Re: Problem 'Canceling' a finished torrent
Hi pcrene and others,
The only info I need right now is if it's reproducible with the same torrent. I.e. if its possible to remove the download and then add it again with the same symptom?
If not I just have to try until it happens while I'm watching it

Yes, you should consider the wiki the main source for howtos. And any howtos copied would be appreciated
