Re: How many B3's out there ?
The flash routine for installing the "3TB patch" is however also running in some kind of stripped down OS started by the existing u-boot. Either way, it seemed buggy and I decided not to chance it unless it became really necessary. The flashing procedure does not use is no stripped down O...

Re: How many B3's out there ?
Charles (MoueTTe on this forum) was working on u-boot several years back, but I don't know whether that was really a success. I have indeed tried to upgrade u-boot on the B3. Latest version was based on u-boot 2013.01.01 and full sources (with the b3 patches) are available on github . I tried to us...

Re: How many B3's out there ?
Hello,
I have one at home, still running, plus 1 b2 and one b3 for dev. Also in the easyfind system, we have 200 entries updated in the last year. Not all B3 have easyfind active though, and some run on fixed IP.

Debian sid (unstable) image 20200402 released for Bubba|2
Hello everyone, Following question by shadowbox, I've just finished building and released the debian sid image for the good old Bubba|2. As for the other debian images, this image is constructed from 3 different projects : a sid OS image itself, an install/rescue system and an installer script. More...

Re: Debian buster (10) image 1.0 released for B3
Quick update, I have made good progress on the debian unstable port for the B2. The install/rescue system has been updated, I have a working 5.4 kernel and I'm currently building the image. We should have something working in the next couple of days.

Re: Debian buster (10) image 1.0 released for B3
After reading a bit online, there is a powerpc port of current unstable debian tree. I can try to build an image based on this tree, if you are willing to wait a little and run sid on your b2

Re: Debian buster (10) image 1.0 released for B3
Has anyone tried this image with B2? (Or does anyone know why it wouldn't work with B2)? And if it won't, are there other recommended options? Debian dropped PowerPC support since stretch (version 9). The last debian version available for the B2 is jessie (8) still available here : https://forum.ex...

Re: Debian buster (10) image 1.0 released for B3
Hi MouettE and all others, Hello ! 1. Is this image really without Bubba (I mean bubba* specific packages, firewall, etc. including Bubba web ui), or have I made perhaps something wrong during installation? Yes it is. Bubba packages were not ported to debian distribution above squeeze. This require...

Re: Debian buster (10) image 1.0 released for B3
Thank you so much MouettE for your work! Here is another veteran B3 user who was finally about to put the little server out of its misery after hd failure, as so many things had already stopped working due to outdated packages. But now, thanks to new ssh, python etc.. it gained whole new life! It's...

Re: Debian buster (10) image 1.0 released for B3
Hello,
UID 1000 should only own /home/excito. /root, /usr et /etc should be own by root. The installer takes care of that. How did you install the system ?
