Netatalk access issues
Hi everybody, Hopefully someone can help me here with a netatalk problem. I normally connect with my MacBook (OSX 10.6.8 ) via netatalk/AFP to my bubba (B2). With my own user account (on both Mac and bubba) I never experience any problems. However, my wife's account seems to have a few issues: In a ...

FileTransferDeamon (FTD) working with USB 3G Modem
Hi, Sorry if this question has been asked or answered before. As you can't search the forum on filetransferdeamon, I couldn't find anything related to my question. Since I changed from using the LAN/WAN ports to connect to the internet to using a USB 3G Modem, the FTD doesn't seem to download anythi...

Re: Release notes for Excito Bubba 2 software version 2.4-RC
This is good news! I'll back up my data and see how this works.
A question beforehand: why use MiniDLNA when SqueezeBox Server is since version 7.7 also capable of DLNA?

Re: Use mobile internet 3g USB dongle as WAN
I found Sakis3g to be very easy to use: Download sakis3g script from http://www.sakis3g.org. I used the version without the usb_modeswitch, because I had it already installed and because it says on the website that the version with usb_modeswitch doesn't support powerpc. Installation is very simple....

DNS problem
Hi everybody, I have a strange problem with my B2. Every now and then, the hostname doesn't resolve properly anymore from my LAN. The hostname is "mybubba" and it's IP address is 192.168.1.51. My router is the DHCP server, so the B2 only serves as a local server (file, Squeezebox, etc.). T...

Re: Configuring ftd
For those interested, it's: /etc/init.d/filetransferdaemon -help Usage: /etc/init.d/ftd {start|stop|restart|force-reload} I'm guessing the force-reload rechecks the files that are being downloaded. Something the ftd does when it starts. As there is a directory called .resume-data in the user's torre...

Re: Networking dies if I restart my router.
Same problem here. Currently I definitely don't want to restart my Bubba as it is resizing 1300 photos (of 10MB each) ... I've pulled out the network cable (after the router was rebooted), but didn't work. The router DCHP client list doesn't show the bubba, and I can't connect to bubba via IP...

Oops:
Code: Select all

// This one is rather ugly, though I don't have time :(
$query = $this->DB->query("

Re: Errror with larger photoalbums
I've got the same problem. I was hoping that there was a command line tool that would start the same process but without checking for timeouts. Or is there a setting that can be increased?
Thanks for any information.

Re: SqueezeServer 7.4
Solved my own problem :D It seems that the installation of SBS 7.4 needs to add this column, but the installation doesn't fail if this can't be done. For instance, when the database cannot be accessed. So, what did I do? I ran the following scripts in my squeezeserver database: /usr/share/squeezecen...

Re: SqueezeServer 7.4
I've got the same problem:
Unknown column 'me.primary_artist' in 'field list'
Could it be that while I upgraded to SqueezeBox 7.4.0 my MySQL root password was set (i.e. not the default without a password)? How can I fix this?
Thanks,
Vrep

Re: easyFind not working?
I had the same problem: EasyFind didn't work out of the box. Deleted the easyfind.conf file and reenabled it. It seems to work. Well, at least I don't get an error message and an IP-address. Now I have to check if it is accessible from outside.
