Re: Announcing B3

Hi again ctoo, I'm not arguing against what you are saying I'm agreeing :) We really do want to track Debian as closely we can. That minimize the work we have to do maintaining packages. We today, in B2 & B3 at least, uses all the things you mention including preconfiguring packages via debconf ...

Re: Running Debian lenny or squeeze on Bubba Two

Hi, Just some comments here. The excito-kernel is "necessary" since it contains some hw-specific alterations. If you are interested in examine it more closely its available here http://download.excito.net/kernel/BubbaTwo/ Unfortunately it is a bit tricky to build since it uses compat wirel...

Re: Announcing B3

Hi ctoo, In both Bubba|TWO and in B3, and to some extent in the B1-lenny spin, we use a mix of repackaging and diverts. If possible to go with a divert fx if its only some configuration change we use this. It's however not possible in all cases to do this. Then we are only left with doing a custom p...

Re: Announcing B3

Hi all, Regarding power consumption, sure plug computers also run the same chip as we do. The main difference is that we pack it all together with a hard drive and still manages to get it to run at low temperatures. Regarding performance, B3 is approximately 3-5 times faster in file transfers and di...

Re: Better web email client - roundcube

Hi robin and others, We actually evaluated roundcube a long time ago. Back then it behaved really bad when doing timely operations. Such as listing mailfolders with *many* emails, uploading attachments etc. But since then, this was a few years back, it seems like development has progressed impressiv...

Lenny image and how to proceed

Hi all, As all of you are aware of the Lenny image seems to have got stuck in beta. We will try getting the quirks fixed but we would really appreciate if you could help us test this out. (Still no promises on an ETA though :( ) I will try getting a wikipage up for this. But for now my understanding...

Re: Where to find the src for the latest Bubba 2 kernel?

Hi again kihis,

Unfortunately this kernel is already packaged and tested for release. So we wont add any modules to that now :(

But which modules is it that you miss out? I can add them to our bugtracker and then hopefully they will get added to the next upgrade.
