I installed a new Western Digital 2TB RED (NAS) hard drive, part number: WD20EFRX
then installed (and updated) the Bubba 2 image.
Appears to be working fine, now with 4 times the storage !
I noticed that the WD hard drive is quieter and cooler (40-42 degrees C) in operation.

New Hard Drive for Bubba 2 (B2)
I have reached the capacity of my reliable B2, SO it is time to upgrade the Hard Drive. 2, 3 and 4 TB hard drives are readily available from Western Digital (now color coded). What is the best choice for: "Color type" (Green, Red, Black) and Size (2, 3 or 4 TB) given the B2 hardware config...

Re: Release notes for BUBBA|2 version 2.0.2
I never was able to get this upgrade / update to work properly with my B2 (< 2.0 firmware). It would hang at 40%, I will have to check to see IF I still have the log file -- if this would be helpful. I ended up waiting for a time -- when I could perform this upgrade -- the old fashioned way. Backup ...

Re: B1/2 -> B3 upgrade discount
I would very much like to see this B3 discount apply for my original Bubba Server.
I am considering retiring this server (PATA drives, etc.) for a B3.

tor - Thanks for the Bubba|Two firmware upgrade. Working as advertised, new version (1.1.2) has been up for 2 days now. Bubba seems to be more consistent in response time from network (LAN or WAN). Tried EasyFind for a few hours -- works -- I need to address a couple of issues with my router (port f...

dovecot: Time just moved backwards
Concern with this from syslog entry (dovecot)? Due to time set to local North American timezone Feb 5 17:45:00 bubba dovecot: Time just moved backwards by 25185 seconds. This might cause a lot of problems, so I'll just kill myself now. http://wiki.dovecot.org/TimeMovedBackwards Feb 5 17:45:16 bubba ...

Bubba Storage
It is really unfortunate that the Bubba|Storage enclosure for an external SATA disk ... did NOT include a USB connection option. I would have considered it for usage with my uNSLUng (Linksys NSLU2) as its external hard drive!! The USB connection also provides a bit of flexibility for connection to c...

Bubba 2 can not find disk
Bubba 2 had been working well for past few months, until this morning. 1. I can log-in as Admin and it tells me that the 500 Gb drive is there (and how much space left), BUT when you go to the Disk tab --- the SATA disk is NOT shown. 2. SO, off to try the Rescue instructions. 3. I edited the Bubba.c...
