Filemanager problem with pdf Files...
Hi, today I needed to download a PDF from my bubba remotely. I logged in through the admin webinterface, started the filemanager and clicked the PDF file for download. Strange, that firefox offered me to open it with notepad (!) and that also the download didn't work - stored the file with 0 bytes.....

Hi, unfortunately the suggested syntax won't work ... fetchmail doesn't retrieve anything. Looks like it doesn't even run (but can't find any hints in the logs). Last message was that it restarted after I changed the /etc/fetchmailrc file... But where is the size limited, if not in the fetchmailrc f...

Hi, I fear we need to discuss this a bit further... 1) I had also a look through the Bubba Webinterface Filemanager. As Firefox is also set to UTF-8 by default, again special characters are scrambled, switching manually to ISO fixed the view. 2) Accessing Bubba from my Ubuntu machine, which has UTF-...

Sending email from bubba through webmail is not working...
Hi, sorry for crossposting, but in the meantime for me it turns out more like a problem than a feature request as I posted here . How do you all send email through the webmail interface? Do you only send from the ISPs provided email or is sending mail from a dynamic address no problem with your reci...

codepages - encoding of filename characters
Hi, this seems to be a problem always coming up. I bet others are also interested in the solution. I don't know, what codepage Bubba uses for filenames, but I guess its UTF-8? I use WinSCP4 - it always expectes UTF-8 local and remote. When I copy a file with special characters (umlaute) to bubba, Wi...

Any Voip Client? Asterisk?
Hi, I wonder if I could use Bubba as telephony mailbox? So I reroute calls to my home after a while as VoIP to Bubba who should answer and record? Would that be feasible? E.g. Asterisk shows the following dependencies: The following extra packages will be installed: asterisk-config asterisk-sounds-m...

Access to original configuration files...
Hi,
a suggestion: Maybe there is already a way to do it, but it would be nice, if there is a way to access the original Bubba configuration files to compare with the own system in case of any failure. Could this be provided at the Excito webpage?

proftpd doesn't (re)start
Hi, I realized that proFTPd isn't running and as restarting ftp didn't workout I restarted the server itself. In the /var/log/syslog I found the following entries: May 4 21:21:28 bubba proftpd[1201]: bubba - Failed binding to 0.0.0.0, port 21: Address already in use May 4 21:21:28 bubba proftpd[1201...

[IMPLEMENTED] Need for authenticated SMTP for bubba....
Hi, as far as I understand, I have 2 options for sending email from bubba: 1) send from bubba as smtp server 2) send through my ISPs smtp server Both won't work in many occasions ... regarding option 1) - at least the largest german freemailers don't accept emails from smtp servers with dynamic IP a...
