GettinSadda: A quick google showed me the cpu is a Freescale MPC8313E PowerQUICC II . Yeah, it seems that the answer could easily be found in an article that was written a day after my post Edit: This is the article that contains the details about the Bubba|Two using the MPC8313E, not the one you l...

Sorry for missing one questions, Bubba Two ships with MPC8313. Thanks for the answer - I had actually asked the same question in two different threads and other questions in those threads were getting answered, but not mine (which appeared simple). I am a little disappointed that the faster MPC8379...

That is awesome!

It beats the current Bubba in many ways and I don't like the resolute refusal to reveal what CPU is in the Bubba|Two so this is high on my list of possible replacements.

The only question I have is if there is a way to get a bigger disk in it.

Any chance of finding out which Power PC CPU is in this device? Simply specifying "Power PC" is as much use as saying "x86", probably less. My current guess is MPC8379E. I am interested in upgrading, but who would buy a server without knowing anything significant about it's CPU!

There is a whole range of them!

Edit: My current guess is MPC8379E

I finally managed to uninstall Bubbamon and so the problem is now gone. I originally had the problem as soon as I installed the first version I tried, which may have been 0.3 or 0.2. I found some way to sort this (but I can't remember how) and it worked fine until FF 3.0. Then Bubbamon 0.4 or 0.5 (I...

Is there any chance of you fixing the bug where it constantly throws up error boxes with "Invalid user/password combination." messages? This happened with an earlier version and I can't remember how I stopped it. Every time you click OK another box appears within a second. The only way to ...

Ah, it seems that Clive may have hit the nail on the head. I did some further tests with Bubba while offline from my main network and discovered the following: There are two perl scripts used by the main Bubba code: print.pl which manages printing and backend.pl which handles "All activities th...

The problem is not that someone or something is making a request that may compromise the system.

The problem is that, according to LogWatch, someone or something has successfully read the entire contents of the password file via the web-admin interface!

I have disconnected my Bubba from the network and may salvage it for parts in the future.

Is someone trying to hack me (and succeeding)?

Is someone trying to hack me (and succeeding)? I spotted this in my latest LogWatch message: --------------------- Sudo (secure-log) Begin ------------------------ Unmatched Entries: www-data : TTY=unknown ; PWD=/usr/share/web-admin ; USER=root ; COMMAND=/usr/lib/web-admin/backend.pl dump_file /etc/...

Well, FAT32 is limited to 32-bit file sizes (so max filesize ~4GB).

The correlation of 32-bit filesize limit and FAT32 name is chance.

Edit: Why not try FUSE and NTFS-3G?

This would not be a good idea as the CPU in a Bubba is not very powerful - it would be very very slow!

The problem is not so much the speed, but having a version of the driver code that will run on an ARM. If the driver were available in source you could recompile it for ARM (assuming that you also had all the appropriate graphics libraries etc.) but it is very unlikely that a company like Lexmark wo...
