Re: Cannot get FTP server to work [solved]

Thanks Gordon, I'm trying to FTP from my laptop sitting next to the B2 and B3 so to try to keep as simple as possible I've used both the broadcast name the dns can see and the ip addresses. I dont profess to be an IP wh I've tried bot B3 and 192.168.1.4, the static IP address I've assigned to the wi...

Re: Cannot get FTP server to work [solved]

Hmm, I seem to have the same problem. To best of my knowledge I set my new B3 up like my B2 and whilst I can connect to my B2 I cant to my B3, just get ECONNREFUSED message. I'm using Filezilla. B3 is set up as server only and all services are on according to the admin screen. Anybody resolved this?...

Re: B3 and Owncloud - guidance

Probably bad policy to reply to my append however, for info here are the steps I used to install owncloud. Note, not complete as I tried to work this from looking back at my console log and dropped several items (nano, ls, ps etc to find out bits of info) that I think were not appropriate, these are...

B3 and Owncloud - guidance

Hi, Just installing my new B3 and as part of the setup I've decided to deploy Owncloud to allow file sharing. I've got the default configuration up and running with Owncloud installed into /home/web/owncloud. If I'm reading the documentation correctly /home/web/owncloud/data will have the 'user data...

Re: My Bubba - Your Bubba

Good point nobody, (more haste less speed). Currently it is used for the following: 1: music server using 5 squeezebox players (squeezeserver as installed) 2: photo storage viewed from PCs at home 3: mail server (thunderbird locally, roundcube when away from home) 4: some video streaming (to a popco...

My Bubba - Your Bubba

I have a Bubba2 which I've run for a while now and it has been very good. I've just seen the Christmas offer from Excito (it just arrived). I'm very tempted to get one while the offer exists however I have a question... If you had a Bubba 2 and have moved to a B3 what are the benefits you have seen?...

Re: B2 and Popcorn Hour

I had a look at llink as I know the family would not accept the default PopcornHour interface. llink now up an running on the Bubba2. Pretty straightforward with a bit of help from the guys over at the PopcornHour forum. Currently not got the jukebox skin working, but that is next. Installed from so...

B2 and Popcorn Hour

I've just acquired a Popcorn Hour and wish to integrate it with my Bubba2. I've seen a few comments about B2 and B3 with Popcorn hour but would be really interested in a bit more detail. 1: What are you doing with it? I've got four test films stored in /storage/videos on the B2 and they appear to wo...

Re: Tweaking photo albums

Hmm, interesting problem, I'm clearly doing something wrong. When I add photos to an album I get a successful message for some and a failure message for others. The failure message is the "#2038 (IO)" error. I've changed the settings to 1 from 5 as recommended on the Gallery site but it st...

Re: Tweaking photo albums

Put a hold on my statements. I (embarrassingly) think I found the problem. What was the old rule about not making two changes at the same time? Sorry, looks like my enablement of syslog analysing of my router using my HA software has gone wrong and it is not Gallery3. Not quite sure how it impacts t...

Re: Tweaking photo albums

Hmm ... move to Gallery3 went pretty bad so far. Did install and all seemed ok. I think I followed correctly. Added my first album, added some photos and started getting error messages 'server error:Error #2038 (IO)'. I found comments to change a setting in advanced settings from 5 to 1 (to do with ...

Re: Tweaking photo albums

Should have said .. I'm on a Bubba2. Was looking at phpalbum, but will have a look at Gallery3. <update> decided to go with Gallery3, however, could someone explain where I should install it? The Gallery3 site says "Extract the archive and upload all files and folders to your web server (usuall...
