Re: Problems updating BubbaTwo
2. execute following as root: ethtool --offload eth0 tx off rx off Now, if the issue at hand was related to above silicon bug, then you should be able to use apt-get update/dist-upgrade etc... Comfirmed, that fixed the problem and I can now do a successful "apt-get update". Next question ...

Re: Problems updating BubbaTwo
1. Install the package ethtool, if you can't apt-get install it, download following file to an other computer, and scp it over to the bubbatwo: http://ftp.se.debian.org/debian/pool/ma ... owerpc.deb
Where on the bubba should the .deb file be stored?

I did the same thing, without getting a crash. I did it before adding a network cable to the WAN port though... That's it. And its actually what the manual says: http://download.excito.net/web/BubbaTwoManual/installation.html RTFM - I know.. Still cannot get the default gateway to be anything but 0...

Now you mention it, I think mine did the same thing when I tried to change the hostname. The change did take though, so my device is now called Bubba2. Ok, but I never get to the screen where I can change the hostname, so I never get a chance to change it. Personally, I think it should ship as bubb...

It worked fine for me too. But then I'm pretty close to the servers geographically... So am I.. Perhaps you could check if you can reach the URLs listed in /etc/apt/sources.list from your network at all? Cheers, Cheeseboy That's the funny part, I can ping those servers just fine. Still apt-get fail...

Problems updating BubbaTwo
Becoming root by doing an su, then apt-get update just to get things up to date. Problem is that nothing is downloaded, the output stops at "0% [Waiting for headers] [Waiting for headers]" for a long time, before failing. The bubba does have internet connectivity and correct DNS setup, pin...

Web UI crashing when accessing admin-network-other
Got my Bubba2 and it's looking great. Seems to be a bit rough in the software though, something (the web ui? some other process?) crashes when I log in as admin, and then access the "Network" tab, then click the subtab "Other" (where the device's name is changed - I want to chang...

How to set up mail forwarding on Bubba?
Hi, the subject says it all.. Do I use a .forward file or somthing else? I want to forward all email arriving at an account on the Bubba to another (external) email address. Would be great if I could have the option of keeping a copy of all forwarded emails on the Bubba, but if that's not possible t...

Been working on a backup solution for some time. What I ended up with was the following: A USB disk connected to my PC for weekly, manual backups. My Bubba is always online, and backup is made to it daily (if my main computer happens to be on at the scheduled time, and it usually is). Critical data ...

Were there any changes made to the torrent engine (FTD)? After upgrading to latest version from Excito, FTD crashes/dies when adding more than one torrent. Or sometimes even at the first torrent. I've tried with various torrents to see if some of them were malformed, but the problem seems to be fair...

When you say it does not show anything on the graphs, Is it all the graphs? Or only some of it? What are you monitoring? How often do you update your data? You can check the plugins directory on munin and verify the links. Efiggy Think I found the problem. I noted that permissions on data files (an...

I'm personally using Munin http://munin.projects.linpro.no/ and I find it very accurate, flexible and low on resources. Also I found it *way* easier to install than MRTG. Hi Ubi, I took you up on your recommendation for Munin, it is indeed nice, easy to install and seems to be light on resources. B...

How have you customized YOUR Bubba?
The Bubba is nice in its original configuration, but part of its charm is the fact that you can configure it to your liking (at least if you know a bit about configuring Linux systems). Personally I have found the main challenge to be the limited amount of RAM. I can live with the CPU being kind of ...
