Have you been editing the config files with a Windows editor? ERROR: Badly formed boolean in configuration file: "yes # new line". Indicates an (typo?) error in the config file. Look in /etc/samba/smb.conf and re-check, also the end-of-lines (!) BTW: Google gives about 9000 hits on exactly...
