Re: Mail server behind b3 blocked

When you say you've "opened port 25" it sounds like you opened it to the b3. Is that correct? If so, you need to set it to forward port 25 to the IP address of your mail server (bottom half if firewall configuration page).

Re: Is this a successful intrusion

I'd have a look at implementing something like fail2ban. I think there are posts on the forum about it.

Re: Shell rescue or reinstall system

It's not a complete solution, but you could extract the default /etc and /var from the installer package and copy them to your hard drive as bckup_etc/ and bckup_var/ them just rename them and reboot to return the B3 to something like the default config. You can also install the original list of pac...

Re: OpenProducts to take over Excito B3 product line

Will OP be continuing to maintain the update repos and Easyfind service? Will this change be invisible to users in that regard?

Re: OpenProducts to take over Excito B3 product line

Two possibilities spring to mind:

1. They want to sell some stuff quick to get some liquidity into the company.
2. Excito have a load of stock that it is not economical for either party to sell to OpenProducts so they are selling cheap to get rid.

Both are just speculation on my part though.

Good luck to everyone involved in this endeavour - on both sided of the fence.

Just an administrative question - will you be maintningvthis forum for bubba related products? I suppose you'll be starting a new one on your own site.

Re: Wifi stopped working...

But when the B3 was in the cabin, it's antennas were like millimetres from the fiber stuff
It's not likely (i.e. impossible) that an optical fibre was interfering with it, or do you mean some kind of switch/router?

Are you sure it's not the cabinet itself blocking the signal?

Re: B3 crashes

I think the Wii stuff is a red herring. The Wii requesting a DHCP lease every few minutes is a known issue with it so its probably been doing that forever.

Re: Want admin to have every permission.

Well if you can't spare the extra five seconds it takes, you could look at setting up sudo which will temporarily give a normal account root priveliges, but like I say, I wouldn't recommend it.

Re: Want admin to have every permission.

Well, the "proper" way of doing it is to log into SSH as a normal user then su to root.
