Will give dmesg a go. Just need to reinstall the Bubba OS again. Partition Magic was unable to extend the partition. But I got hold of SystemRescueCd http://www.sysresccd.org/ and I was able to extend the Ext3 partition with it. But no matter what I tried I could not get Bubba to boot. Just kept get...

Well I hope its enough, cause to be quite honest I know bugger about Linux. I was just google’ing commands and giving them ago. Its defo not a hard drive fault as it was recognized on my windows PC as 465gb. And its not a Bubba hardware limitation as I believe Excito use Seagate 500gb drives without...

Preventions to cut out spam?
Hiya I’ve only been on this forum for a very short time, but I can’t help noticing the amount of spam threads that get posted, its kinda shocking for all the size of the forum to be honest. Is this something that can be tightened up on? It makes having a sneaky peek of the excito forum at work at bi...

Approx 25% of HDD capacity missing? (370GB from 500GB drive)
Hiya Just a quick question. I’m new to Bubba btw. I’ve done a clean fresh install with a new 500gig hard drive. Yet total disk size is only 379246mb, which works out as 370.36gb. Now I was expecting to lose a few gig as you do with hard drives, but losing 130gig is a bit much I felt. Is this right? ...

Thanks for your reply, When you say that a software package consisting of a fax program and drivers would be required, are you talking about client side? At work we use faxstar on our as400, to send a fax we simply send an email with attached document to 012345678910@fax. Is HylaFAX not similar to t...

Hi guys I'm afraid my Linux knowledge is none existent, but I quite like the idea of a having a fax server. Egix - In what way do your IT Experts expect too many problems ?? Is it in regards to either having a USB modem / USB to Serial adapter? Do you reckon it would be any easier with the following...

Anyone installed SANE - Scanner Access Now Easy or similar?
Hi I'm thinking a bit ahead of myself here as I've only recently order a Bubba and am awaiting delivery. But I'm thinking of wee hacks that I would like to do to enhance it to-wards my precise needs. So not content with just having a Printer sever, I quite fancy the idea of having a Scanner server a...
