Since bubba uses dovecot as imap server it is possible to set quota to imap mailboxes (bubba 2 and 3, the original bubba used a too old dovecot version). You should be able to see the start/stop messages of dovecot in /var/log/mail.log

Tip for next time: don't delete certificates, rename them to .old or something, that way you can put it back when the new certificate doesn't work.

It's best to copy the whole Mail directory in your home directory on your bubba. That way you leave the filestructure for the mail server dovecot intact.
