I have two Soundbridges, and so far, they have proved to work extremely well (and as you said, they look quite nice too). Configuring them was very easy, and their display is clear and easy to read. I initially bought one, but was so impressed that I bought another one for upstairs within a week of ...

Syncing email
I currently have my bubba picking up all my email, which I then either view using webmail or using Thunderbird. I regularly backup the bubba's mail files/folders onto my laptop, but this would obviously not be much use in the event of the bubba failing, being stolen etc. Has anyone had found an easy...

I thought I would answer my own post, in case it helps anyone else. I bought a pair of Alecto HomePlug compatible adapters. One end plugs into an Ethernet port on our router, while the other one is plugged into a mains socket in a cupboard; the bubba plugs into this one. This means that I am able to...

Moving bubba away from router
I currently have my bubba on a shelf in our stairwell, next to our wireless router. I am considering moving it away from the router, to a less visible location. I have a couple of questions. Has anyone tried connecting their bubba to a wireless router via an access point? Has anyone tried connecting...

You said: The FTP client included in the Mac OS X Finder is read only so it is not possible to upload files to a FTP server using it. You'll have to keep using a real FTP client or switch to Samba as Tor suggested. If it's a MacBook, then, it's Mac OS X 10.4.x. You now say As I have already written,...

Valentin, so far, I have *only* been able to transfer files using FTP, in this case Captain FTP. The files that I transferred are visible in my wife's private folder when viewed using Captain FTP and from my Win XP laptop, but, depending on how I connect to the bubba on my wife's MacBook, her privat...

Sorry, I should have been more specific. The private folder is not empty (after adding files/folders using FTP), but OSX does not show anything in the finder. I didn't try adding anything yesterday, but am sure that I would not have been able to... I'm not at home at the moment, so am not sure exact...

Hi Tor, sorry for the slow reply. Yes, you're right. I can access my private data from my windows XP laptop and via the web file manager. My wife is only able to upload files to her private folder using CaptainFTP on her MacBook; even when the files have been added (which we can check via the webadm...

Mac OSX issue
My wife is having trouble accessing our bubba from her apple MacBook. Although she is able to connect to the bubba from the Finder, she is unable to drag files into her private folder (something about insufficient rights). She has however been able to copy files to her private folder using FTP. I ca...

Hi pa, I had actually just had the same thought. By accepting cookies from my home IP address, I was able to log onto my bubba and access the file manager, so the problem is solved. The strange thing was that I had *sometimes* been able to access the file manager, even before I changed the security ...
