nice work! :) I was actually tossing around the same idea with my flatmate the other day as the torrent client on his linux desktop machine also looks at a directory on his drive in regular intervals to check for new .torrent files hope that you can get it to work, but I fear that maybe ftd doesn't ...

Thanks for the replies guys!

bubbalibre was actually spot on, after emptying the cache things are now working smoothly again. Plus with IE6 I didn't bump into the issue at all.

Cheers,
Christoph

messed up the images for the web-interface

Mmm, I just realized that the web-interface is doing some weird things. When I'm logged in as a user and move the mouse cursor over the "downloads" link the image is replaced by the highlighted "services" (button_services_on.png) image while my "filemanager" image is re...

Thanks for your help! "de_AT ISO-8859-1" is the one that ended up working for me. Even though it took me awhile to figure out that I had to re-start the system for the change to take effect. I'm sure there's also a way to simply re-start bash itself but I've got absolutely no clue how to d...

Thanks for the information. I just added those two lines to the smb.conf and restarted the service. However I'm still encountering an odd issue: While my "aäüö.txt" file now displays correctly in the Windows explorer I'm still looking at "a??????.txt" when I use SSH. Anyone got a...

Tor, thanks for the quick reply and the clarification...

That just means that I'll have to keep a closer look at the rss feed for now! :)

thread subscriptions not working?

I just realized that I haven't received any subscription updates even though I'm watching several threads that have been replied to.

I initially figured that my spam filter was to blame, but that's not the case either.

Is anyone else running into this issue?

Thanks,
Christoph

Unfortunately there is no way today to add a path to the add_download command. The daemon does not support it today. :( That said, it is of course posible to add this functionality to the daemon. And we have of course thouhgt about it and in the long term we will try to support it. The problem is t...

Sorry, I meant pause/resume but was also thinking in terms of stop/start so that's where that "stop" mention came from... ;)

Anyway, thanks a lot for your comment, I'm very much looking forward to your next updates!

Which options and arguments does ftd or rather its bittorrent portion support? More specifically what I'm currently trying to work out how I can add an option on where I want to save the file that I'm downloading. While the standard "download" directory is a no-brainer I would like to sele...

That was quick, thanks! :) If you really feel like being fancy then you could also add the following line to your forums/templates/excito/overall_header.tpl file, just above the "</head>" tag if I'm not mistaken. That will directly add that small orange RSS icon to your browser's address b...

sticky post for known bugs/issues

Hey, just thought that it might make sense to create some sort of sticky post as a collection of known bugs/issues. Something simple like: - crash with multiple bittorrent downloads - spelling: /web-admin/smb.php - "Send and recieve " That would probably help the developers in keeping trac...

RSS feed for forum

Hi,

not sure whether other people feel the same but I would find it very handy if the forums integrated an RSS feed.

There's a relatively simple extension for phpBB that does that, unfortunately I forgot its name.

Anyway, just my 2 euro-cents.

Best regards,
Christoph
