Hi wiggin and spoodie, Atm the download manager is not capable of throttling or scheduling. This is of course on our todo list to implement. The underlaying libraries support throttling so that implementation wont be far off. But scheduling i can't do any estimates on. wiggin, what exactly do you me...

This sounds strange. If you are familiar with Linux you can log in on Bubba, become root, and look at the files: /var/log/mail.log /var/log/mail.info /var/log/mail.warn /var/log/mail.err To see if you can find out what might be the problem. Other things to start with other than above could be to cha...

Hi johanheinesen,

Just to verify your problem.

You can send emails with the built in webmail in Bubba but not when using an external imap client? And you have specified Bubbas name or IP-number as outgoing smtp server in these clients? It did work before but stopped a few days ago?

Sure you can connect multiple printers. Just put an USB hub in the single port and then connect your printers to that. Theoreticly you should be able to connect up to 16 printers to Bubba. (I run two different printers on mine at home.)

Hi Juggler, Today Bubba unfortunately does not support this. But it actually is on our wanted feature list. Since we already have our download manager capable of torrent, http and ftp downloads its not that far off to add downloads triggered by rss feeds. What features would you like of such an appli...

Hi Sky, Bubba is built by us. It uses libtorrent to do its torrent work and we use curl to fetch http downloads and we actually do not change the default user agent. (This is actually something we have to change but it has slipped) Regarding ports etc you can read some about it in this thread /Tor

Hi lelle, Its quite common to see this in your logfiles. These are mostly bots trying to brute force their way into your machine. Unfortunately neither the ssh server nor the ftp server has built in protection against this form of attacks. There are however a few things one can do. First off only ex...

Hi Fredrik, One of our main goals is to extend Bubbas media streaming capabilities. Today we support Daap streaming, enabling devices such as Rokulabs soundbridge, software players including ITunes, Rhythmbox, Banshee and more to play audio stored on Bubba. And as you probably have seen in other thr...

Hi vsu and others, You are correct in that i work for Excito. I work with software on Bubba . :) We are also quite aware that there is quite a demand on SqueezeBox compability. And because of that, we are working on a way to satisfy this. At the moment we actually have SlimServer running on Bubba. T...

Hi, Maximus, let me start by thanking you for taking your time writing such a detailed post. The reason this wont work is because SlimDevices does not provide Arm binaries, the cpu that Bubba runs on, and then you get the error that you probably got when you run apt-get install slimserver And to all...

Hi, Gallery should work ok on Bubba, we have done some testing with Gallery 1.5 which does not require installation of MySQL. The main problem is that as lelle says that the system resources are somewhat limited. And the big issue here is that images gets rescaled at the server side which is very ti...

Hi Lars, We have a couple of customers that run slimserver on their Bubbas so this is quite doable. We are also investigating the possibilities of supporting Slimdevices out of the box, but thats only at an investigation level. What we most likely will do in a not so distant future is provide more d...

Hi Bjorn, The Bittorrent part of the FileTransferDaemon, ftd, is built upon libtorrent. The ports you observe is, most likely, the local port numbers used for connections. These are atm not configurable in libtorrent. What could be configurable but is not at the moment is the ports which ftd listens...
