Re: B3 not renewing IP address

Yeah I guess that could be it... But I have set the Bubba to be "server only" in the settings on the web interface. Does it still do the fall-back?

Re: B3 not renewing IP address

I know I did, I had it unplugged while it booted, and then connected the cable after perhaps 20 minutes. But still no new IP number. I will try unplugging/replugging it again when I get home to see if it fixes it though. Doesn't the dhcp client try to renew its address after an hour or so? Even thou...

B3 not renewing IP address

Hi guys Sorry if this has been posted before, but the search is a bit too wide to find "new ip" or anything like it =) Is there a way to force the Bubba3 to renew its IP address? It doesn't seem to do it by itself. I actually have to reboot it for it to be accessible from the network if I ...

Re: Git install

It might be possible to just add an extra repo for it. Something that has been back-ported. But I guess Bubba's architecture must be added taken into account when you search for it.

Re: Release notes for Excito B3 software version 2.3

It actually looks like I managed to fix everything, even though I actually made it a lot worse for a while. I managed to uninstall lots of needed packages by running apt-get autoremove (and it removed LOTS). But by finally coming to the conclusion that running apt-get install bubba could re-install ...

Re: Git install

I guess this depends on what version of git Excito has decided to add in their package system. If their distribution (which is Debian based) is based off of an older version of git, you'll get the one from that version, unless they've updated it themselves.

Re: Release notes for Excito B3 software version 2.3

I'm currently reading http://wiki.excito.org/wiki/index.php/Rescue_System, so let's hope I can get it to work again.

Re: Release notes for Excito B3 software version 2.3

I tried doing the update, and it worked OK, except for some warnings when running apt-get from the shell. When looking at this post, I saw it was because of me having minidlna installed from before, so I ran apt-get prune minidlna, and answered yes to the question if I wanted to proceed. First my we...

Automatically download torrent files using rsstorrent

Hi guys I was lacking software that could automatically download torrent files based on a regular expression (or something like it) to my B3. The torrent download is great, but it kind of defeats the purpose for me, since I still had to log in to my torrentsite, download the torrent, and manually pu...

Re: Bubba3 downloads torrents to wrong user directory

I've written the script myself now and it seems to work well. I just haven't decided on the final touches, should I run it as a service, or just by hand and then let it run in a 'screen' session? I'd also probably want it to automatically check if the settings has been changed every now and then (or...

Re: Download/Upload settings for torrents

Of course the "Cancel" button is manual right now, but there are several torrent software out there (for instance Azureus/Vuze) where you can set a "Stop seeding at ratio:", for instance 1.0. This means that the torrent will seed until that ratio is reached, and will then stop. I...

Re: Bubba3 downloads torrents to wrong user directory

Yaaay now it works! Any tips for scripts so I can fix automatic downloading via rss and automatic unzip/unrar when the files are done?

Re: Bubba3 downloads torrents to wrong user directory

Hehe yeah, I guess you have to think about that when using NFS. I've been a Gentoo-user since 2002, but I've never had to think about the uid/guid issues. Good to learn at some point! I'm glad to say that changing the uid on the bubba seems to have worked perfectly. I'm going to run some tests on th...

Re: Bubba3 downloads torrents to wrong user directory

It seems that it's actually possible to change uid, I just have to make sure I run chown on all the files again, so they get the new uid on them.

I think it's probably easier to change the uid on the bubba than my local computer...
