Re: New installation does not work
Yes, after becoming green but before purple. Use the WAN port, and check your router log for which IP your B3 takes during installation. Then just ssh to is, do 'ps' to check which processes to kill, and manually restart the install shell script to get the log output. This was partly from memory so ...

Re: New installation does not work
Yes, other possibility is that the disk is bad, but that can't be it, right? What if you try to reformat the disk before? Far back in my head I have a faint memory of similar problems, could it be related to an LVM volume existing on the disk, and some bug in the installer not managing that correctl...

Re: New installation does not work
Funny, it should not change to purple quickly, this probably means it cannot read the USB stick properly. Purple means it has exited the installer mode and is trying to boot normally, which obviously fails since you removed half the disk, right? Try with another stick, and get back if it doesn't help.

Re: Is Easyfind down?
I forgot to mention it but another issue is that we need people chipping in with work, perhaps mainly IT admin work, to help Ubi out. He has already spent a significant amount of time backing up and setting up clones of the Excito servers, and I assume he would appreciate a helping hand. He has to c...

Re: Is Easyfind down?
I think Ubi has to clarify this, but if I remember correctly the technical parts of the migration is done now, right? Including easyfind.excito.org and it's "production" database (managing authentication of the B3's requesting the IP change). I think the remaining part is managing the doma...

Re: Swapping B3 HDD for SSD - do I need brackets?
Nope, no brackets needed. There are old B3 versions that lack the extra 2.5"-hole, but the chance that you are good is > 99%. read more here:

Re: Installing an SSD in B2
Actually the B2 motherboard doesn't have the screw hole required for easy assembly of a 2.5" disk, but you can work that out with glue, soft foam or any other way you prefer. As for brands etc. we never officially tested but I can't imagine why it wouldn't work.

Re: Upgrade disk to 6TB
i don't know how old your B3 is, but the earlier batches had a boot loader limited to 2TB. You can update this yourself quite easilly: http://wiki.mybubba.org/wiki/index.php?title=Updating_your_B3_to_support_3TB_disks Apart from this, my guess is that 6TB disks should work just fine (we have reports...

It _should_ work now until your IP adress changes, but I can't test to make sure right now.

you are right, it actually fits the error description better. Anyhow, you need to get access to free up space, so go for the rescue stick and have a look.
