Re: Release notes for Excito Bubba 2&3 software version 2.6
I solved my problem and got back the interface on Mac that gives access to B3 /home/web in User share (In version 2.6 you get access only to a specific user) In /etc/bubba/AppleVolumes.default change back to how it was in previous versions. Do this: /home/ "User share" cnidscheme:dbd dbpat...

Re: Release notes for Excito Bubba 2&3 software version 2.6
I guess that the file where I could include /home/web in order to get it working as it was before the update is this: /etc/bubba/AppleVolumes.default This is the end of the file: # The line below sets some DEFAULT, starting with Netatalk 2.1. :DEFAULT: options:upriv, usedots # By default all users ha...

Re: Release notes for Excito Bubba 2&3 software version 2.6
One problem emerged. I have a Mac in front of B3. In the previous versions of B3 /home/web was included in User share and all the other users as well. It was easy to drop files from Mac to foldes in /home/web and to manage anything else I had there, like for instance WordPress. Now there is a folder...

Re: Release notes for Excito Bubba 2&3 software version 2.6
"I agree that options are somewhat limited but we focused on usability, and leave the advanced options to the advanced users, who (often) can do these settings manually." Maybe some "advanced user" could tell how to do a backup of a separate folder from say /home/web Thanks for t...

Re: Nginx+Apache2
A still better setup is NVA - nginx varnish apache. It is very easy to add varnish, proxy_pass address in /etc/nginx/sites-enabled changes to http://127.0.0.1:6081; that's about all. The command for to watch varnish working live is: varnishlog http://www.linuxpinguin.de/2011/09/nva-setup-nginx-varni...

Re: Nginx+Apache2
...In any case: if you're content with the operation of your second site, I'd suggest you redo what you did for that site to create a third site that also uses /home/web as its root and accept the 404 error on bubba's default site definition as a gift. There are only two at the moment but I might a...

Re: Nginx+Apache2
I finally got it working: VirtualHost configuration: wildcard NameVirtualHosts and _default_ servers: *:443 127.0.0.1 (/etc/apache2/sites-enabled/bubba:1) *:80 is a NameVirtualHost default server 127.0.0.1 (/etc/apache2/sites-enabled/bubba:44) port 80 namevhost 127.0.0.1 (/etc/apache2/sites-enabled/...

Re: Nginx+Apache2
Quite right! From the other domain I can get B3 admin. If the risk is the downloads from Excito, one could change the configuration before an upgrade, they don't come every other day. Would that not be possible? I was doing the workaround but got the errors I named. I'm new to these things which can...

Re: Nginx+Apache2
When I do the same with https://b3.local/info.php I see the whole page. Apache2 is there and nginx is there and I am on Virtual Server according to "Configuration, apache2handler" in info.php My second domain seems to be back too, right now it doesn't complain about redirects or 404 or 503...

Re: Nginx+Apache2
What I see is 404 not found.
I know how it looks like when it works.

Re: Nginx+Apache2
bubba-networkmanager-cli getwanif returns: eth0 I had my site for a while but lost it again when trying to move there Word Press, it went back to the redirect problem. The system is somehow mixed up. I don't get to the B3 admin page without https. Nginx and Apache can show syntax OK but that doesn't...

Re: Nginx+Apache2
The code didn't work for me, it returned "Bad arguments" 1) iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -d $wan_IP/32 -i $wan_IF -p tcp -m tcp --dport 80 -j DNAT --to-destination $wan_IP:8080 Bad argument `/32' Try `iptables -h' or 'iptables --help' for more information. 2) iptables -t nat -I PREROUTING...

Re: Nginx+Apache2
I'll check out what the above intructions can do in my case. I had already nginx 1.2.1 installed. I have nginx listening on port 80. Is there the same conflict with updates from Excito if I do them from the command line? I still have something wrong. I get "page isn't redirecting properly"...

Re: Nginx+Apache2
Still not clear with the configuration. I have: 1) Easyfind address that picks up the default page from which there is a link to one WordPress instance. Now it does so only with https. 2) A new domain address which is supposed to pick up another WordPress instance. Under the easyfind address the two...
